Curry Leaves

I have been trying to find curry leaves locally for ages with no luck. I finally ordered these via Amazon and they arrived on schedule (not super-speedy, given it was coming from Thailand to the US.) I've been satisfied with the flavor when using in some dishes I've tried since, however I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the leaves themselves. Most of them are not intact but in lots of small pieces, so it's a bit difficult to figure out how to measure "4 curry leaves" for a recipe from little scraps and partial leaves.

This is a great product and is very hard to find in the part of the country where I live. The vendor (from Thailand!) sent this to me via airmail, and I received it long before the estimated time of arrival given to me in the shipping details. The leaves are beautifully intact and easy to use. The portion in the bag is so generous that I was able to share part of it with a friend who also wanted to use curry leaves in a recipe. The flavor of the leaves is very pleasant and subtle. The price is extremely reasonable. All in all a very enjoyable international exchange experience!

Unfortunately, the air mailed package from Brunei was opened by the US Department of Agriculture. When it got to me it only contained their form indicating the reason for destroying the leaves.
