The sweet spot
Decided on this case as it looks most like a MacBook and rgb is an awesome plus. I’ve put this thing through hell honestly, it’s scuffed scraped, some paint has come off, the small plastic strip that goes around the power button broke and the button extension is lost so it’s even harder to press the lock button. However, the keyboard is great and works despite all this. The case has never let the iPad slip out even when dropped. It’s definitely protected the iPad going in and out of bags, being thrown in the car or on the couch, being outdoors or on my dash in the sun, it’s a survivor. I can’t imagine not having it. It has its own battery you have to charge but it lasts decently long. The keys are pleasant to type on albeit the overall layout is smaller and takes getting used to. The 12.9 may be more naturally sized. The colors are cool but the keys bring a lot of functionality to pro apps and that’s the real value. And let’s not forget that it lets you put your iPad in any position you need to sit on its own and that’s the real reason we need this. If you use the pencil a lot it may not be you as the pencil is not protected and I imagine you would use it upright but rather flat like paper, idk. This is worth every penny considering what apple asks for their stuff. It’s almost a year old and while it’s got scars it’s not showing any signs of quitting any time soon and will probably last the life of the iPad itself.

Both the quality and the customer support if needed!
This is one of the few keyboards on the market for iPad that has a function key row at the top. The process of pairing with the iPad was very simple and straightforward. The keyboard touch is wonderful if you do a lot of typing. The selection of background colors is very wide. I opt for the least bright red for mine.I have had opportunity to email back and forth with customer service at Greenlaw when I had, what I thought was a keyboard problem while in the Pages app from Apple. They were very easy to communicate with, they were very responsive taking ownership of the issue until it was resolved. When we could not figure out what was wrong they offered to replace the keyboard notwithstanding I was beyond their one-year guarantee period.I reset the iPad and the issue went away. It was the IOS operating system and NOT the keyboard that was causing the problem. I emailed them (Greenlaw customer support) that I had discovered the solution and they did not have to send me a new keyboard. It was a great experience! They have my highest recommendation for both the hardware and their customer support. They mean it when they say "Customer satisfaction is their number one priority."

Could use a few improvements but overall great
This is a fantastic keyboard case for the money. I love the backlot keyboard and how many colors there are to choose from. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, also. I don’t have to worry about it disconnecting and reconnecting (even when I turn the keyboard on and off). The fact you can adjust the brightness level and volume from the keyboard is also a great feature. A+++There are some cons about the case, however. The case is not heavy enough on the top to sit on your lap like a laptop. Meaning, the iPad will fall backward if you’re not holding it down with your wrists typing. However, the fact you can twist the iPad around and use it as a stand is pretty dope. I just don’t know how well that little metal piece connecting it will hold up if you’re constantly turning it around like that.Another thing is that you can’t tell how much the keyboard is charged and I find that pretty annoying. I personally would really like to know how much charge is left on the keyboard as I am a college student on the go and I prefer to leave the extra cables at home if I can. I’ve looked in the manual and I’ve checked on my Bluetooth settings for the charge but I can’t find it. If there is a way, please let me know!Other than those three things that could use improvement, it’s a great case. Makes my English & Biology class 1000000000x easier!

Company stands by their product!
My wife and I both bought a keyboard and have loved it! My wife has had no trouble but mine started experience some Bluetooth connectivity troubles. Think I just got one that had an isolated problem. I contacted the company and they could not have responded more professionally quickly or efficiently. They are replacing my keyboard. Thanks for the great customer service and I would highly recommend this product from the GreenLaw company.

Would be nice if it worked
When I first got this case/keyboard I was impressed. The weight didn’t bother me (although it is HEAVY) because I thought it seemed protective. I loved the feel of the keyboard. I can type easily on it with the exception of the shift key on the far right side which I have to look at the keyboard every time I want to capitalize. The reason I gave it a low rating is that the keyboard does not connect. Every time my iPad goes to sleep and I open the case up the keyboard is not connected and I have to turn the iPad off and then back on and then try to go through the connection process again. Then sometimes it will connect. You never know. It is VERY annoying how inconsistent this thing is. I started the return process and then the virus hit so I can’t even get it returned!!! I am more than frustrated. Today I picked up my iPad to answer some emails and it won’t connect. Even after shutting down the iPad three times and here I am using the keyboard on the iPad. Not why I bought this case. I’m ready to get the Apple case and keyboard. So disgusted.

If you like carry bricks in your bag, then this is the case for you.
I was really hoping that this case would be the one. However it weighs a ton, it’s like carry around a 10 pound bag of bricks. These is no coverage for the camera so you have to be careful that it doesn’t get damaged . The correction was easy, but I have other cases that connect immediately to Bluetooth. Also you have to use the same cord as your IPad so you can’t connect both of you don’t have a separate cord to charge this. For the money you can find others that I feel are better.
