For those wanting to learn how to play a song and learn the words to the song this is a nice app. In fact it is a must have app for that purpose. In my testing I found that this app is really just a link to the internet to the Songsterr web site as the exact songs and some of the functionality is available on their website. Using my computer I could do some of the same things on the web site without paying $4.99 by using the Songsterr free version. When I tried to use my tablet browser it told me to get the app. This is because the site uses Adobe Flash to play the music and Flash is no longer available for most tablets. The app allows it to play on your tablet. The web site has a free version and a Songsterr Plus version that costs $9.90 per month. This app is more like the Songsterr plus product. Because of its use of the internet this app will not work without internet connection. The available list of songs is extensive and they will help any person wanting to learn new songs. This app is more like the Songsterr Plus version on the web. It is ad free, it allows you to control the speed, listen to the solo mode and play songs in a loop so you can practice a part of the song until you get it down. You can even add songs to your favorite lists. You can see the words to the songs. This is a nice teaching tool and I rated it at 5 stars. Permissions: * Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage * Full network access * Google Play License check * Receive data from the internet * View network connections * Prevent tablet from sleeping The app contains Google Analytics and Mixpanel that tracks the user's behavior while they are using the app. It also uses Crashlytics to monitor the software so the other analytics programs are redundant and it makes them look like they are just used to monitor user behavior. The app also uses Google Cloud Messaging to send push messages and it could be used to send spam to a user. The app installed 11.38MB into my device memory. I manually moved it to my SD card and it left 4.17MB in my device memory and transferred 9.25MB onto my SD card memory.

This is the best guitar app I've come across for android. I picked this up as a FAOTD a while back and expected to use it as much as I use the other guitar apps I've collected over the years, which is not at all. This app has tabs for more than enough current and classic songs, but what sets it apart is that, for plenty of songs, it'll play the song along with a scrolling tab animation. On top of this, it includes multiple parts of songs - bass lines, rhythm/lead guitar, vocals, etc. So far, I've used it to pick up a couple of Strokes songs, an old Cramps tune and an Arctic Monkeys song. Whatever the price is on this app, it is well worth it - I've learned more from it than I have from a year of searching for and printing out my own tabs from the interwebs.

Don't waste your time with this app. I downloaded it thinking that it might help with a few songs that that I am struggling with but boy was I wrong. None of the guitar tabs are correct. For example Enter Sandman, One, Black Bird, Seven Nation Army are all incorrect. Not only do they have the wrong notes to be played but they are flat out missing a lot of them so you will end up looking like an idiot to your friends and family if they know how to play. Even the music track that plays as the tabs scroll across the screen are wrong. Maybe it is a copyright issue. But none the less don't waste your time. If you want to learn to play the best bet is to take lessons.

I got this for my son who is CONSTANTLY looking up "tabs" on my pc. He says "Mom, this is AWESOME! This is the BEST tab program EVER!" (He's 15 and plays electric lead guitar and acoustic guitar). The selection of tabs, demo how to play, and options make this the best thing that has happened to his self taught guitar playing, since he got his first guitar! Now.. if I can get him off my Note II to stop using this, I'd be just fine. Time to download it onto a tablet for him to mess with. Selection of songs seems endless! Of course, Stairway to Heaven and Back in Black are mom's favorites for him to play with that app. You can choose to slow it down, speed it up, to play the music with the tabs or without etc. GREAT APP!

This app is absolutely amazing. You can search just about any song in the world and find tabs or chords for all instruments in the song. I use this app at least once a day, I play guitar and bass, and I find this to be a very good app for learning your favorite songs. I like that it has a feature to add songs to your favorites so you can practice them along with the tabs. It's very convenient that you can listen to the songs rather than it being like a book and just having the tabs. You can slow it down, and isolate the instrument that you are playing so it's easier for you to play along.

Guitar Pro is a far better app, able to read the 1,000s of gp4,3,2,gpx tabs out there. Plus you don't loose your song if there is no internet. Songster does cache the last song played, but I had no luck making a cache of all my favorites to take with me on my tablet. What a shame, it's not a bad app, the guitar sounds decent, it's simple and quick, but lacks the ability to use your own tabs, or even keep stored the ones you download. No option to even choose your cache folder for what little it does cache. If your going to spend money, then skip this and go for guitar pro.

Very impressed with this app, although it isn't perfect. It would be great if the library was larger, some songs I've looked for are not available, but I'm sure given time some will get added. As for the songs I have found, I think it does an pretty exceptional job. I deducted one star for three reasons. The lack of a more complete library is the first reason. The digital playback feature sounds a little too tinny and mechanical, without timing nuances necessary to really get the song. Of course, as long as you have a recording of the song, that should not be a problem to crutch, but there is room for improvement in this app. It did freeze once on me, and automatically closed. When I reopened it, the song I'd been playing was no longer in my library. Initially, I couldn't even add it back. But after a couple of resets, I was able to get the song back into my favorites library.

For $5 you'd expect it to be far better than the cheaper, and even free apps but that's not really the case. The main thing it has going for it is the scrolling player that plays the notes along with the tabs. I didn't find that feature useful but I imagine many will. The search feature is TERRIBLE and you'll miss a lot of content if you don't enter the entire name. In this day and age, the searching shouldn't be harder than playing the actual songs. I look up tabs about an hour every day but I find myself rarely using Songster, even though it's the most expensive tab app I own. However, if you do a lot of solo work, Songster may serve you well.

What great music app! I chanced upon this the other night and after downloading it I was blown away by just how user-friendly and slick it is. I selected several of the songs in the list provided and was incredibly impressed with the presentation of the music, particularly the tablature and auto-scrolling. The sounds provided for guitar, bass and drums were more than up to the job of conveying the majority of the nuances in the songs I checked out. After a search for other songs not in the list, sure enough, they appeared. This app really is a superb tool that makes learning new songs a breeze. Just install it on a good-sized tablet, place it on a music stand and you're away! Overall this is an absolute steal at approximately £3.00. It is worth considerably more in my opinion. I am already using it with the mates I jam with in order to learn songs prior to getting together and they are now using it too following my recommendation. At this price you'd have to be nuts not to check it out. It deserves to be a huge success.

Mas o que mais me surpreendeu é ter a opção de ouvir a transcrição, não só do instrumento, por exemplo o baixo, mas de toda a música assim para aqueles que estão em casa treinando podem usa lo com playback.
