Has a few issues that are resolvable
Purchase this kit quickly if you want it, because it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. This is not paint by numbers -- You start with a grayscale canvas, paint transparent colors, and then opaque ones. Looks much better than paint by number, is more fun to paint, and is something that would look nice on the wall. I had to work around a few issues:1) I used some other orange paint. The orange paint in the kit was too dried out to even squeeze from the tube.2) Get some smaller brushes to do details, in addition to the large one provided.3) The paint seemed to really sink into the canvas, rather than staying on top - so it looked muddy. Some of the paints also blended with even dry ones underneath. For example, when I added white highlights to the petals, it looked great for about a minute - then, the white turned pink. So I had to do both over and over and over.3) My sister told me this one: Read the directions, but paint like the picture. Paint the dark pink center AFTER painting the initial transparent pink on the whole petals and the yellow center (different order than the directions). Otherwise, you will end up painting over the outside edges of your dark pink center.4) I painted over the colored pollen dots in the center with yellow and white (opaque) - because I thought they looked cartoonish - not anything like the picture. Looks much better.5) You need to greatly dilute the orange and green to achieve the transparent orange and green pastel colors in the background so the flower design shows. Or you can make it opaque, as I did. I painted opaque orange and green (add white to each), and covered with a thin wash of white. The good thing about acrylic is that you can paint over again if you don't like it. Which I did a number of times. I wish I had known all this before I painted the picture. But I do like the result, and I will be hanging it on my wall.
