This book came in good quality. I still use it even though I'm not in school anymore. Great reference, and good information.

Perfect for students
Great book with great design examples and step by step analysis of structures from around the world. the chapters are structured so that the readers begin with the simple geometric designs and developed step by step into magnificent works of art.

Not for the timid
As a non-artist taking a digital arts course, this is a textbook for me. I found the book to be a good discussion on architecture and spaces, but I've had to look up things talked about in the book several times on the Internet. I also find the writing is alright, but is not always as clear as I wish it would be for me. For people who have already studied some art and architecture, though, I would imagine this would be an excellent book. What I really like, though, is how it is organized.

Distills key concepts brilliantly
I needed this book for an interior design class. The book is indispensable in distilling key architectural concepts. It's just an introduction, but it really helps students to think in more architectural and 3-D terms. There are also terrific examples and illustrations. The book isn't too dense and easy to read.

Great book with great insight.
I've had this book for a while now. It should be a staple for any young, budding architect and the principles contained within are examples of what make architecture different from engineering. Great book by a great author.

Magnifique dessins à main levée
Les dessins à main levée de cet ouvrage feront la joie des personnes sensibles à l'architecture. Très agréable et d'une manière pédagogique, ce livre de dessins permet de comprendre la sensibilité des architectes dans la conception des espaces et de bâtiments célèbres. Prix élevé, mais c'est le tarif pour ce genre d'ouvrage réservé aux passionnés.
