I've used it on both with great results. When shilelding multiple cavities, you want to make sure to connect all cavities for best results. I was able to run a long piece of tape through the routed channel inside my Les Paul and connect all the cavities using the tape alone. My Strat required a little improvisation because the hole that connects the output jack cavity to the main cavity behind the pickguard is tiny. Since I couldn't feed the foil tape through the hole, I used a thin wire to connect the two cavities, soldering each end directly to the foil tape. The tape took soldering well and help up like a champ, no peeling or burning. I checked continuity with a voltmeter to verify a job well done. Highly recommend! Review: Works Great! - I absolutely love this stuff. I use it mostly for electrical shielding on guitars. Very easy to use and smooths out nicely when rubbed or pressed. The edges can be a bit sharp (think paper cut) if you catch it a a certain angle, so I have found that coving my finger in a cloth bandage helps when applying and smoothing it out. Very much recommend!

Copper is a natural long lasting insect repellent .
When shingling my house I had a significant large ant infestation. I used the copper infused tape on the bottom row of the shingles . Hopefully insects won't invade my house.

It's a bit expensive, but buying new plants is even more so. This stuff works. We live in wet Oregon, and the slugs and snails WILL Not cross it. So the slugs & snails have left my basil and herbs alone. Love this stuff.

Used for insulating guitar body
Used for cutting down the hum from a guitar with noisy pickups. Works great! This size is perfect for the guitar cavity.
