Impressed & Delighted
So happy with Wii Just Dance 2014. I have all the JD games & this one has more options than before. I'm 44, so I don't know several of the songs but I love 6 of the songs & starting to like a few others (that are new to me but I'm sure others will recognize them). I'm hoping there will be more songs to download soon. I love the choreography, graphics & cute avatars. Also, if you have a microphone, you can sing along if you're not dancing. Wii motion control remote works perfectly & is very accurate in all the dances & songs. I have already downloaded a few songs & have unlocked songs & mash-up songs. As soon as it arrived, I played for 2 hours straight: & I was planning on napping because I was exhausted! Shows how much I enjoy the game! I am delighted "Just Dance" song is on this game. I can't wait until my 10 step-grandkids come over this weekend: they will be delighted to play with me. Because of some of the lyrics, I will be careful not to let the kids under age 12 dance to a few of them. I've had this rule with all of the dance games, because I'm overly cautious so they're used to that. Of course, I will be giving them their own JD2014 game at Christmas. I love the sweat mode & exercising: hours fly by quickly. I tried to do the world version but my wireless internet connection wouldn't work for some reason. I can shop but I can't dance in world mode. Oh well... at least I can do everything else. I highly recommend this game to teens or to anyone who loves to dance. 10/17/13 Update: I did the world stage dance last night & stayed on for an hour. For impatient me it was nice to know how many seconds left to wait for next song. 24 people were playing at same time & I eventually improved enough to be in top 10 people with my scores. With all the virtual coins I collected, I was able to unlock more songs & mash-up songs. I'm aching today from doing the sweat mode of dancing. I love all the JD games & glad I have this one too. 12/4/13 Update: I finally got around to it: by using my USB microphone (sold separately for Wii games) enables me to sing karaoke-style & if I sing correctly, I earn more "mojo" virtual coins toward avatars & songs/dances. Lots of fun but I make sure no one is home when I sing along while dancing simultaneously. I'm sure I look & sound like I've lost my marbles. :)

The JD team just outdid themselves!
Just awesome! And if you're a guy you will find there are more male avatars and less girly dances and moving your hips sexily type of songs. Which is awesome, the game is better balanced! In the past games there were always songs I tried playing and stopped halfway through because I considered the dance either: girly, lame, boring or downright ridiculous. No such thing happened when I played JD's newest addition to the series. So yes, it's awesome. The songs are great, choreography is even better, interface is pretty simple and it's tons of fun. Also, I had read the kareoke function wouldn't work on the Wii but when I started the game it indicated you could connect a microphone and sing along, so yeah, I believe another awesome is in order. Awesome! The one thing I am annoyed by is the mashups that are locked by month(those specifically, not all are unlocked like this), seriously Ubisoft? We have to wait months to unlock a mashup... that's just lame. Besides that one small hiccup the game is solid. I never thought they would be able to do anything better than JD 2, JD 3 and 4 where fine but they weren't as good as the 2nd, but now JD 2014 completely blew away JD 2. Great job Ubisoft!

Very good, makes a great gift
I really love the Wii dance games, but so far the 2014 has not been able to out-do the Just Dance 3. The songs on the 2014 version are good, a nice mix-up with current music that all my kids and even I have listened to, but I've noticed they like the older version a little better. The main point that makes the 2014 really cool is that you can go on wifi and dance with people from other places all over the world, which gives it a nice competitive feel! Definitely worth buying, has been hours and hours of fun and would recommend.

A fun game to play at library programs - works well for large groups
I am a children's librarian at a small urban public library. We have a Wii at the library and I had borrowed Just Dance 2 from my little brother to play it with the kids. That was fun, but the kids all asked me to buy Just Dance 2014 because they wanted the more current music & dances. I bought the game and used it for the first time on Friday. I think I will get alot of use out of it, since kids and teens will both enjoy it. My personal opinion is that video games are generally not very good for kids, but I like Just Dance because it gives the children a chance to be active, which they may not be able to do too much, especially when the weather outside is too cold, hot, or rainy. Plus, dancing and music are forms of artistic expression and exposure to the arts (of any kind) can be beneficial to children. Because we only have four controllers, but up to 50 children who want to play, Just Dance is a good choice. Four children at a time can play using the controllers and the others can dance along behind them. That way, everybody has something to do instead of waiting around being bored & causing trouble... AND everybody is getting some exercise! The reason I gave the game four instead of five stars is that the kids had expected the song Gangdam Style to be on there because it says PSY on the cover -- that's the main reason they wanted the game. Instead of Gangdam Style, there is a different PSY song. The cursing is bleeped out, so I think this game is fine for children, but others may not agree. It's up to individual parents to make that decision for their own children. Cute story: Although they wanted more current songs, the kids ended up dancing to I Will Survive by Aretha Franklin over and over again because of the zombie-themed dance and background associated with the song on Just Dance 2014. Of course, for all I know, the kids may think that's a new song too. Haha! I remember when we first played the old game (Just Dance 2), I had gotten excited about Call Me by Blondie and said, "I like this song!" A kid said to me, "How do you know this song? You've never played this game before." He didn't know that the songs even existed outside the game! I would receommend this game to people or groups who want to have a fun time and get some exercise. In my opinion, it's appropriate for almost all ages.

A letter to Ubisoft
Dear Ubisoft, You wonderful, glorious people you. I don't know why you haven't been nominated for a Nobel Prize. Why hasn't Michelle Obama and her health and fitness initiative given you all the awards? It is shameful, nay, a crime that you have not received the praise and recognition you deserve for this spectacular game. You have done an amazing, impossible thing. You, yes you, have created the most ingenious way to get geeks to exercise. You see, we geeks cannot simply pop in P90X and expect to keep up with it. How can we really track our progress? Reps mean nothing to us. What is a deadlift? I've never done one, and those I've seen doing what I suspect is jogging look just so unhappy. No, you got us to level up. And for that, and I speak for all geek-kind here, we are grateful. Thank you, you amazing, genius game designers for what has to be the most fun exercise ever invented. Sincerely, The Gamers of Earth

Good for exercise and fun
I bought this just for cardio and because it's fun. I've had a few others. I am not a "gamer" so to speak so I'm not going to talk about graphics or go into a detailed comparison to other games. If you want to have fun, and like the songs listed, and just want to get moving, this works. I like the "Just Sweat" mode-choose your time frame, choose your songs, or let the game choose them for you, and just dance away. My heart rate stays in the 140-150 range if I just do the dances, I can get it to stay in the 160-170 range if I put a little extra bounce in my step and really get into it. Mostly I play for exercise, but I've also been known to bust it out when I've had a little wine and just feel like dancing :)

Job well done!
We have Just Dance 2014 on Wii and Xbox. I love anything that gets my kids up and active. I hate when they sit around and play video games all day. This is great exercise for not only them but me as well. They have a "Just sweat" devoted to exercise, it even has a calorie counter so you know how many calories you've burned. Up to four people can play so all of my children can get involved (as long as you have extra wii remotes). I wouldn't label this as a "girls" game at all because boys love this game too. They have something for everyone. My husband felt like there weren't as many songs on this one but we love the selection all the same. I love this one just as much as I love just dance 4. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I am a good dancer and this one had a lot more "meduim and hard" songs so I felt I was at my own speed. The dances weren't that easy, which I really liked. What I love the most about this Just Dance in particular that makes it stand out from all the others is that you can earn credits to buy more songs and dances by singing along and scoring high. On the other Just dance games you have to pay for any new songs with money.
