Excellent product lightweight strong easy to fit without screws looks smart will stop my puppy destroying the post Better than the material one with velcro which I had which my puppy was just ripping it off the door but this cage is strong and secure so much better I highly recommend

As expected the post cage does the job and from the point of view of preventing your dog ripping your post to shreds I’m certain it works, they may still be able to lick letters through the cage of course. Depending on the quality of your existing letterbox indoor fitting. I.e. you need to have a ‘lip’, once you slacken the screws of the inner top existing fitting, into which you feed the thin vertical piece of horizontal metal the cage hangs on. And the screws need to capable of being tightened, so if they don’t you won’t get a good grip on the hanging ‘lip’ of the cage.The one design consideration, if it ever gets an upgrade, is to add a white rubber spacer, (the depth of the gap between the rear face of the cage and the door face, in the middle of the door facing section of the cage so that the cage is supported, to avoid it only pivoting/being supported on the top supporting ‘lip’. This spacer could clip onto the cage rear face and help to stabilise the cage when it’s emptied or inevitably the dog attacks it. The cost of this addition could be easily offset by not having the ‘gift’ letter splitter, which nobody will use once it gets lost at the back of the kitchen drawer! Good product and well made and looks good and is just the right size. Lastly, make sure you have sufficient clearance when the door opens that it doesn’t hit anything...wall, decoration etc. Woof woof..your dog will be disappointed!

This was fitted in 2 minutes but the problem I had is that the sides of the cage are angled inwards meaning that when I opened the letter box it hit the side of the cage. It’s a shame as it’s well made and easy to fit. I need a perfectly square cage so that my letter box will open hence I had to return.

Value for money and very easy to assemble protects anything that comes through the door. Stopped dogs chewing mail. Put piece of cardboard on the bottom of we put the keys through the door

Very good item. Good size box and easy to install. The trickiest part was prizing the letterbox off the door as it seems mine had been stuck and screwed down. Very good item though as I have a bad back and a cat that thinks it’s a dog and chews up my post so this will hopefully do the trick. I’m hoping there won’t be any issues with larger mail as prior to this I had a mail bag on the back but this was all split so needed replacing. Plus the bag wasn’t see through so I often forgot to look. This one you can see straight away if there’s any mail. So fornow I am very happy. Time will tell if I have issues with large envelopes (A4 size) as looking at it in not sure if they will go in but they should bend a little. I will update this review if I have any significant problems but certainly fornow I am very happy. Only took my about 10 mins to install from start to finish. Not sure what the little plastic tool is for though.EDIT - Larger mail such as A4 size envelopes or packages don’t fit in well. When pushed through the letterbox it hits the front of the basket and stops it from dropping in to the basket and can leave the mail poking out of your letterbox.

Very easy to fit, keeps my mail secure from the dog!

We had to grind off the two side pieces off the back to make it fit our upvc door letter box but once we did stops the dog grabbing the post off the postman and scaring him to death. I like the fact that it isn’t permanently fitted, you just lift it off when it’s not needed.

Easy to install .Our cane corso can no longer grab the letters coming through the letterbox !Since installing ,it has moved as it didn't sit flush with the door at the bottom ,so moved about.This was easily resolved by placing a block of foam (froman item that needed packing) no more movement ,stable no damage to the door .love it.
