Practice Calculations for the Nursing Student: Solving Fundamental, IV, and Pediatric Dosage Calculations Accurately and with Confidence Kindle Edition

I really enjoyed having so many practice calculations to practice with for my dose calc exam. BUT unfortunately there are several problems that are questionable and have a wrong answer because of a typo by the publisher of this book. For an example in the IV calculations problem 45 page 84, the question is asking about a liter infusing in 11 hrs, but the answer says a liter to infuse in 9 hrs and gives the answer based on 9 instead of the problem question of 11 hrs. There are a few typo and error problems. Overall I still think the book was worth getting because of how much practice it has given me, but definitely question the answer if you feel like you’ve done everything correctly and the answers are way off.

I got this book prior to 1st semester and passed all my dosage calculation tests with 100%. Definitely recommend for all nursing students!

I love the other versions of this (the red and blue covers) because it has more practice tests and straight forward.

I'm currently a 2nd semester nursing student. I've learned dosage calculations from Professor Rhodes for 2 semesters now. She is also a wonderful lab instructor. Her methods for understanding dimensional analysis, how to set up problems, and work through them is unlike any that I have found anywhere else. She pretty much makes it fool proof where other books and videos leave a lot of room for making mistakes and plugging in the wrong information. She also has videos now on Youtube. Provides a number of practice problems. Passed my first dosage calculation exam after using the book to review conversions and dimensional analysis.

The book is good but the Kindle version is inconsistent. For example, the question will say 11 hr, but the the same question on the answer key will have 9 hr.
