It works, but...
This wax buffing brush does the job, but I'm not sure I would buy it again. I read all the reviews prior to purchase, noting negative and positive comments. As one reviewer had commented, the brush I received also did not have the Chalk Pro stamp. In fact, it had a hand written price of $19 and a bar code sticker, which struck me as very misleading compared to the picture which clearly says "ChalkPro". So, first impression....it looked like a cheap knock off. Next, the issue of dust and shedding. Yes! And LOTS of it!! Truly an inordinate amount like it had been put together outside in the dirt. Thankfully, I had purchased another brush from a different seller which came with the instructions to 'condition' your brush prior to use by 'ruffling with your fingers or the edge of a counter to dislodge loose hairs and then rinsing in warm water and setting aside to dry completely' before use. Even so, my first time use had fibers flying everywhere! Some reviewers complained that the nut came loose during use, but it stayed put just fine for me. I used a 20v battery powered B & D drill which worked well. I did notice that it took a good amount of pressure and two hands on the drill to achieve a fairly glossy result , while keeping the brush head flat on the surface. It worked particularly well getting into corners and edges. Overall, it did what it was supposed to, but I have serious doubts about quality. I used this on a small chalk painted side table. Not a huge project, but the brush was fairly splayed already by the time I finished.

Works well but your drill must be reversible. Set it to rotate counter clockwise. If clockwise, the spindle will unscrew from the brush.

Brushing made easy
I bought two of these to make my life easier: one for polishing furniture and the other for polishing stained glass.I started reading a few of the reviews prior to using the drill, so using the drill in reverse (and marking it on the brush) and found it worked really well cleaning up my stained glass windows. People who make leaded windows will understand what I mean. I used it on a low speed and after I removed the whiting with my hand brush, I used this to do the final cleaning without creating a cloud of dust. Worked really well and fast and will be part of my toolbox for glass. On to the furniture. I'm restoring and reupholstering some wooden furniture-- tables and chairs-- and this does a great job of buffing out the wax on the pieces. Again, marked the brush on top, used it in reverse, and used it on a slower speed to do the trick. Worked wonderfully well. Yes, I lost a few bristles along the way, but nothing too alarming. I wanted something that would get into the nooks and crannies-- my tables are hand-carved-- and this does a great job of helping hitting all the spots.Four stars for these babies because it would be easy enough to include instructions on the care and feeding of this baby for the uninitiated.

be careful of the spinning head!!
After reading all the reviews and realizing you have to run your brush in reverse so the head won't spin off the brush does a great job with Briwax. But I learned to modify my technique for optimum results. I work with live edge cherry and walnut. I get my slabs kiln dried not air dried so it take three applications of briwax to build ups base. I lightly brush after each application and after the third application ( with about 10 minutes between each coat) I then let it cure of 24 hours and then actively brush for my finish. The results are spectacular and rival a poly coat or Maloof. I would give the brush 5 stars if it wasn't for the running the drill in reverse. Be sure to wash the brush out with Dawn soap after about 10 uses as the wax buildup does impede performance.

Does the Job But--- Watch Out for Spinning brush Dislodging in Video
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is a cool product to have specifically if you are working with wood products that need a good buffing. I needed to polish my black wood table and after using Briwax Original Furniture Wax 16 Oz - Ebony and Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer - 16 oz . The brush is easy to fit on and aside from me learning how hard to press, it did a pretty decent job except at the very end.I was actually going to do a collection of videos showing the way it spun off but thought i was in bad taste because this could be really dangerous. It appears that you can glue the screw in place it should fix it but it's something that you shouldn't have to to. I did show this happening at the end of the video review.

It attached to my drill just fine and spun fine
I bought this buffing brush to attach to my drill. I thought this was going to be answer to all my buffing needs. Sadly, it isn't what I was looking for. I am still using it, trying to give it a shot.It attached to my drill just fine and spun fine. It was a little lopsided, but nothing bad. I had just applied some finishing wax on a drawer front and was eager to test it. I was looking for a brilliant shine, but I really didn't notice much change. I did notice some bristle marks left on it. I'm my opinion, the bristles are too rough for a great buffing job. I am using it in hopes that they will soften up some.I think this is a brilliant idea. I just wish the bristles weren't so hard.

Ok for some types of wood furniture, but not chessboards.
I used this on my chessboard, after waiting for the Briwax to get "hazy" as was recommended, it did nothing but ADD swirl marks all over my chessboard!!! This might work for some wood furniture, but I'd try it 1st on a small area that's maybe not easily seen, like the side or back.I had to remove the Briwax and sand in steps to remove the horrible swirls off my chessboard. What a PAIN, but they're gone now.I still have this "wax buffing brush", but I don't have the confidence to use it again, except maybe on a large piece of wood furniture. My chessboard is beautiful again. I'm so relieved. My TIP: Test it 1st on a small area. This might work for you.
