Are these "true" boot socks? meaning ... "thick material" socks like my cowboy boot retailer said i should wear with my Laredo's. most don't state.

Yes these are true boot socks. I bought six pairs over two years ago. I wear them every day at work while wearing the following boot (Ariat Boots: Men's Brown 10010134 Steel Toe Heat-Resistant EH Cowboy Boots). I work in port operations on the water front and walk approximately 4 miles a day, climb up and down stairs, on and off boats and barges.they are just now starting to show signs of wear (small holes at toes) and a little sagging.

Do these socks keep your legs warm in the winter?

These socks aren't designed to be warm aocks, they aren't wool. However, these are comfortable socks, very tall and stay pulled up over your calf better than any sock I have worn.

What shoe size do these socks fit? I wear an 11.5 4E wide shoe.

Sock size Large fits USA Shoe size 9-13.

Do they stay up? when i walk my socks slid down in to my boots. and what size would i need for a size 14

They stay up quite well, but even the XL might be too small for a size 14. XL is more like L.
