Streamlined, compact and wonderful sounding CD system
Bought this to play CDs while taking a bath in our master bathroom. I have bluetooth speakers and portable mp3 players and all that, but I just prefer laying back and letting a CD play, especially through a great sounding system. I owned an older Philips micro system before and loved it (the MCM760), so I looked to them again for something current. This BTM2180 system fit the bill perfectly and really sounds great in a small space. I have it on the "DSC3" sound setting which gives it the best bass response, but without any "port chuffing", or the distortion you get with super cheap speakers. The CD player is absolutely silent when playing back CDs, unlike many other micro systems in this class. The remote is small, simple and well laid out. There's really no need to ever touch the unit itself as the remote controls everything and has good range. I have the unit plugged into a Omars AC Power Bank because there was no power outlet in this part of the bathroom, and it will play CDs for hours on a full charge. Great combo IMHO. My only complaint is with the Bluetooth performance - audio cut out regularly while playing back music from my phone. I didn't do much testing to see if I could improve it, but I bought this to play CDs anyway, so I really don't care about the BT performance. All in all, this is probably your best bang for the buck on the market right now if you're looking for something simple, efficient and excellent sounding to play CDs for a small to medium sized room.

A tiny stereo that is perfect for daily use
This is exactly what I was looking for. A table top stereo that will play my Sirius App from my phone. I knew it was never going to be a "rock the rafters" stereo, but for my lower level it is perfect. I can listen to my music, it sounds good and doesn't take up much space. I was so pleased, I bought a second system for upstairs. The blue tooth range is a little further than 30 ft, but for sure I can have my phone in the family room and it still picks up in the kitchen (which is 35 feet away), and the one upstairs can pick up my signal from the next room which is 25 feet and through a wall. You can also play a single CD, use the headphone jack from you phone/PC/tablet or use a flash drive. Well worth the $109 I paid.

Reasonably good for the price
I got this at a super-discounted price and, taking that into account, it's really not bad at all for a little bookshelf system. Everything more or less works and the sound quality is reasonably good. The FM radio works, the CD player works, it will play most audio files I've tried from a flash drive plugged into the USB port, and it works great as an amp for my MP3 player. A few minor complaints: there's no bass/treble adjustment; the CD player lacks error correction so there are occasional skips and gaps, and the bluetooth speaker feature doesn't work on either my Redhat Fedora GNU/Linux box or my wife's MS Windows box. Both computers see it, and will sync to it, but don't recognize it as an audio output device. But for the price, it met my expectation and does what I wanted, so I'm happy with it and would buy it again given the same needs and budget.

This is a good sounding little machine
This is a good sounding little machine. Not a ton of features, but I kinda like that. Mine came with no owners manual. Generally that would be a problem but I was easily able to figure out all the functions. For the money its well worth it. The bluetooth feature is great. You can play your music from your cell phone. Synchs practically by itself. It only plays one disc but for I needed it for, playing guitar jam music, it's fine. It will fill a room with great sound for very little money. You can download the owners manual and info by searching the model number and make. It will pop right up in any se3arch engine. Has AM/FM as well.

Don't buy this unless you only want Bluetooth
Sadly we had to return this really nice small stereo system because despite it boasting that it reads MP3s via USB and Audio In, neither of those functions worked on either of the 2 devices we tried. The first one also had a CD player that didn't work, so we thought maybe the other functions were all related and would work on a new one. Alas - no luck. I tried 2 old generation iPods, 3 different generation iPhones and 2 memory sticks plus an external hard drive, all loaded with MP3 music and the USB port would not read any of them. All of the iPhones and iPods are read perfectly fine via the USB in port in both of our cars so they should work. The only thing I could get to work on both of these consistently was Bluetooth for streaming audio. No problem connecting to desktop Mac, Macbook laptop and old and new generation of iPhones via Bluetooth. But we bought it for playing old libraries we have on a bunch of old iPods so had to return. If Bluetooth is the only thing you want - go ahead. But beware even the CD player might not function and the sound can be crackly and spotty even via Bluetooth. Buyer Beware!

Good sound but broke within 5 months
PUrchased this as a gift for my mother for Christmas 2014. It arrived without a remote but worked great and produced good quality sound. The best part was it was simple to operate and the controls were limited on the front. Now 6 months after purchase, and after purchasing a remote for 30.00 for it, the left speaker has ceased working. After troubleshooting, it seems to be the connection within the player itself and not the wires or the speaker. Be aware before you purchase.

es bueno, tiene buen sonido, lo único un poco malo que le encontré es el control remoto que no funciona muy bien creí que eran las pilas y las cambie pero no, solo que no tiene buena señal, todo lo demás muy bien.
