100 Classic Hikes in Oregon: 2nd Edition

This is a solid book, with a ton of great hikes, and information. That said, I have noticed that on page 57, Horse Rock Ridge, there is an error in the directions, and that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The incorrect directions are "After 0.3 miles you turn right onto Seeley Creek Road, a narrow paved route that passes several minor intersections as it climbs into the clearcut-strewn Mohawk Hills." You will actually want to make a left turn onto Seeley Creek Road.There are also alternate directions to this trailhead I wish had been listed in the book, but that's no big deal. A quick Google search should get you where you need to go. Other than that misprint, I've really enjoyed this book, and look forward to completing all of the hikes in here!

I love this book! True to it's description, all the hikes are noteworthy and sound like good fun. The hikes are spread out through the state, so one gets a good tour of Oregon.

This should keep me hiking for some time.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this book. I was not expecting the beautiful photos. The hikes cover all parts of the state, and include the mtns, desert, and coast. I would have given it 5 stars, but the book seems to favor longer hikes. It is really more suited to backpackers than day hikers. Other than that a great hikers guide.

Good descriptions and example photos of trail highlights for making decisions and where and when to hike. Provides basic maps and directions to and along the trails.

Really good information. The author suggests many great hikes in Oregon.

We used this to choose our backpack adventure. I'll be using this for the next one too.

Love the book with its color illustrations and excellent information. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in hiking in Oregon.
