Nutritious Organic Black Rice!
I am glad to find this extraordinary organic black rice from Amazon. Black rice is very nutritious and has a lot of health benefits. I want to make porridge using this and other ingredients. It states that it has no preservatives, no GMOs, is Gluten-free and Certified organic. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for the benefits.

Forbidden Rice!
My wife has been put on a low-carb, no-dairy, no-sugar, no-fun diet so we've been looking for new things to work into the dinner rotation. She mentioned Black Rice so I did some research. Wikipedia says it's forbidden and made some mention of sativa. Well alright! Let's give this a go!Before getting too far into this, I'm not a foody. I am NOT a rice connoisseur. While I've eaten a few types of rice, I tend to put rice into one of two categories: trash or edible rice. This rice was squarely in the "edible rice" category. It's not magic rice. It did not change my life to eat this rice. I did not cook it and think, "Dear God, why have you hidden this rice from me for so long?!" It's rice. It looks nice when cooked, so that's fun. I wouldn't try to use it in a hand roll or anything, but it's a fine replacement for the brown rice that was available at the local market. (Don't @ me)Quality: Top notch. Consistently colored and I didn't find any bugs/worms/fingers..Packaging: All plastic - do better. Pro: Keeps rice in and intruders out. Con: Contributes to the global non-recyclable trash heap. "But Mr Customer, our plastic is special fast degrading, worm friendly, locally sourced, small batch, suffocation free plastic." I'm sure it is.Value: I bought it and didn't cry. There is certainly cheaper rice available. If you want to feed you and yours the forbidden rice, this wouldn't be a bad choice.

Instructions aren't copacetic
This give instructions to make 1 cup of rice at a time. The whole bag makes a total of like 2.5 cups. But there's no guidance for not whole cups. I just made 2 cups of rice for a meal and have an odd amount left over. I've used other brands, and there was more in the bag, as well as I striction for smaller amounts and how to calculate for more. So I'm a little disappointed. It's in the final stages of cooking, and I'm not sure how it will taste, I'll get back to you. But the measures are off.

forbidden no more!
This is a great rice and adds a little texture to otherwise (often) boring rice. One of the reviews made a point about arsenic and the warning. Little did the writer know that all rice has traces of arsenic. Kudos for labelling it so others can find out the reality.
