Excellent medium for enamel paints for outdoors!
The base of this toad is all neutral, very little paint was applied originally. I took my enamel paints for models and started to apply some exotic tones, went back and toned it all down with a yellow/green paint. I gave the eyes some extra pop of color. It looks pretty realistic on our pool rocks. Seems sturdy & durable, with significant weight for a smaller creature. Impressive!

Michael Carr & Company have created a beautiful replica of this most beloved little soul of the South West. It is exceptionally detailed and realistic, but it is a bit larger than the real ones. The color seems a little too dark as well. Those two minor comments should not stop one from purchasing this great piece of art. It's a hard and perhaps brittle resin, so it is not a toy! Great for display. My family and I love ours. These sweet little lizards are gentle, harmless, and have a perky personality. They are wonderful seen in the wild, but do not ever steal them from their homes or keep them as pets. Leave them happy and healthy in the desert or even your garden in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. You can gently handle one, and even stroke the back of the neck and they'll fall asleep. I love "horny toads" as I spent a lot of time with them as a child. I'd set them free in our garden to eat bugs. Doesn't Australia have a very similar lizard, but with a long tail? Love it
I got him to replace a big realistic looking plastic lizard I've had for probably 30 years. Just randomly moving him around the yard and people always would freak thinking it was real! Well he doesn't look so real anymore so that's where this guy comes in! Probably 3 or 4 times bigger than any horny toad I've ever seen but that's ok. He looks real! Hopefully he lasts 30 years.

Very realistic, but a little larger than the real lizards.
I just received my horned lizard. Thank God it arrived without damage as I was a little worried from some of the reviews. It is very realistic! It is a bit larger than real horned lizards and a little darker in color than the real thing. I lived in Ft Worth Tx for 7 years during the 60s when there were plenty of horned lizards and no fire ants, so I know what they look like. Anyway, I am very happy with it as the mold is very realistic. Nice price too.

I put it on a tree to look real, with 2other lizards,but so dull it doesn’t show up at all.
