GelRest Stick-on GelPad Black

I have been dealing with my violin slipping and I was repeatedly having to get back up in position while playing. It made getting a good result very difficult. I now can put my effort into the music without the distraction of needing to do this repositioning. Thanks for this easy to use solution.

I had a sore spot on my chin from the chinrest. Adding this, along with a cloth cover over it helped alot with the discomfort. The adhesive is really only good for one application, but it's just double-sided tape so easily replaced with tape from the store. Worth it for me.

When I peeled of the liner the adhesive stuck to the liner instead of the pad.

The gel is great. It is such an improvement over the uncovered chin rest I've always used. My jawbone doesn't hurt with this. The only reason I marked it down a star is because I had to trim it to fit. I've tried using a small towel or kerchief over the rest, but even a nice towel doesn't hold a candle to the comfort this provides. The gelpad doesn't slip like a towel does either, so you don't lose your grip when holding your instrument with only your shoulder and jaw. It's worth the money!

Purchased for my little boy. He loved it but his chin rest broke so he had to detached and tried to attached to new chin rest but it didn't stick because the sticky agent seemed used up on old chin rest. Bottom line is it works very well and comfy but once you detach from the chin rest it won't stick again. I just reordered one for the new chin rest. Buy it if you want to spend $16 dollar for a few months.I would and I did.Thanks.

Junk. Lasted two months. Good concept. Junk materials.

This made my chin rest on my electric violin very comfortable. Would have given 5 stars except I had to trim it a bit, which took away from its looks. Hard material to trim cleanly. But, I like the fact that it blends in with the black chin rest. Doesn't detract from the instrument at all.

This gell pad was really easy to put on and is very comfortable. It also adds a bit of height which I needed. I use it on my viola, which is heavier than the violin, and this gel pad is nice under my jaw and chin.
