Beatrice is a great cover all type of garment. There are no darts as it is a very loose fitting garment and designed to be worn over a T shirt or sweatshirt, and the cross over at the back is enough to prevent the back gaping open. The large curved patch pockets are bound at the top edge. Version 1 is finished off with a bound edge all the way round. Version 2 is finished off with a small hem. Version 3 is lined with a contrast fabric to enclose all the raw edges. Suitable fabrics include light to medium weight fabrics such as printed craft cotton, linen, poplin, denim, corduroy. The binding can be made from ready made bias binding and you will need 7 to 8m. If using 140cm wide fabric there will be enough spare fabric left to cut the bias strips for the binding..
