Serious electricians know that good S/O cable, new S/O cable, especially, has a certainsmell to it. It's the smell of quality wire. When you need to make a line cord that will lastfor years, always choose S/O or SOOW, and if it's fresh off the line it will smell right outof the box. You can't go wrong with S/O. Don't waste your money on any of that "junior"stuff.

I am very happy with this cable. The rubber seems to be great quality, strong, and have good flex. The copper inside seems to be really good as well. I'm really happy I made this purchase instead of wasting over 50 dollars more for the same thing from the local Lowes or Home Depot. I shopped around everywhere and this was the best deal I could find, and seems to be the best quality too. Will buy again when needed.Update:I had a forklift with rubber tires (don't think anything could survive solid) ride over this once and needless to say although I was pretty furious at the person driving it, the cord seems to have held up well. I need to make more extensions for my welder and my shop so I've placed an order for a second spool after seeing how good the first one held up over the years. I'm starting to get a minor spiral twist building in the cable but I think that has more to do with how I coil it rather than the cable itself. I've popped 30 amp breakers with this before using my welder (though I never really exceed 35ish) and the cable has never even gotten warm to the touch.

This is very high-quality cable. Better than what you can find in the big box stores, and if you're buying enough length then also cheaper than what you can find in the big box stores.I have no clue why the picture of this bulk 10/3 cable is what appears to be an iphone cover, but the product received was in fact 10/3 cable.

I like that this cable is flexible enough to pull through floor joists in a basement ceiling and smooth enough to easily push through a long hole. I run just 20 amps through the cable to increase my safety margin, even though it's rated at 30 amps.

This is a very good and very flexible cable. Are use it to power my REL subwoofer. It was about a 30 foot run, and I wanted it to be on the same breaker as the rest of my audio gear. While I would not call this an audiophile quality cable, it suited my needs perfectly. Also note, it is not shielded. For my application and it worked perfectly.

only regret was buying only 50'. should have gotten 100'. will purchase another 50' at later date. join together when length is needed.

Will be awhile before I use it. Look and feels sturdy but usable.

so far its working good and a 100 feet is just what i needed the price is right .
