I am a 45year old man and I have had plaque psoriasis since I was 5 years old. I have learnt to manage and live with it. A couple of years ago, I had a strep throat infection, following which my psoriasis got exacerbated and it changed forms from plaque to guttate psoriasis. I was covered in lesions. It went from 5% coverage to 95% coverage in a span of a few weeks. Needless to say, I was devastated! I tried gluten free and dairy free diet. I was on a complete raw diet for over three months, my skin started to improve and the psoriatic lesions started to calm down. By the end of three months, my psoriatic lesions went down by 50%, but then the effects kind of plateaued. I was not sure what else I could try. I thought I was taking all the right supplements from curcumin to zinc to reduce inflammation. I was thankful for the progress but also felt like I hit a brick wall. A friend suggested that I look into probiotics to help replenish my gut bacteria.I tried a few different probiotics for a few months and I saw marginal improvement in my condition.
