We can see for miles from my back porch - would this be good for viewing that far?

I can see the Moon from my porch. That's like 238,900 miles. But wait, I can also see the North Star (Polaris). That's 323 Light Years or 1,899,000,000,000,000 miles. So, yeah, "you can see for miles"...

Does it good for target shooting?

Works good for 243rd and 30-06 rd to 200 yards. At 300 yards hard time seeing holes on regular targets. Splash targets you can see fairly well at 300 yards. Works good for the money. Works good for hunting also.

I just need a good scope for target shooting for up to 150yds at most. I have a ruger mini 14 rifle and would want to see the bullet holes from 100yds
