20-60x60 Angled Spotting Scopes for Target Shooting/Hunting

I purchased this spotting scope for general viewing around the property, mostly wildlife. It has exceeded my expectations in almost every category. Focus is smooth, zoom is good, and the best quality is that it is clear and sharp top to bottom, and side to side in the viewing area. Many inexpensive optics are fuzzy, out of focus around the edges. This scope does really comes in above its price point. Included bag, tripod, and camera adapter are nice to have as well. I am very satisfied.

This spotting scope is much better than expected for the money. I did not notice any aberrations in both the 20x and 60x magnifications. I originally bought the scope to sight in my AR-15 at 100 yards and found it to be more than sufficient at that distance with splatterburst targets. I also used the spotting scope to sight deer grazing approximately 250 yards from my property to further test its capability, and even at that distance I could see everything in great detail. I would easily argue that this scope is adequate for sighting in targets at a distance of at least 300 yards, if not more. I have a couple of observations about the spotting scope. First, the tri-pod works perfectly fine and I had no issues with movement of the scope while shooting. The handle used to swivel the scope can be turned to tighten or loosen the spotting scope, so it can be moved up and down. I know this is a basic concept but I mention this observation because there were comments about how the scope would not stay up on its own. Secondarily, the eye relief is virtually zero at 60x magnification – meaning you need to get your eye as close as you can to the eye piece to see the full viewing field. Otherwise, the field of view is very small and distorted, and might possibly be the reason why some comments mentioned the scope is inadequate for distances in excess of ~100 yards. I am thoroughly impressed with the scope and it should be on the top of your list if you are looking for a basic quality spotting scope that is relatively inexpensive.

This scope seems to be well built and functional. The tripod is OK, but just OK. The image is very clear and visible when set on 20X. As you increase the magnification the image becomes harder to align with your eye. The fine adjust is in an inconvenient location on the scope. To adjust that control you have to reach around to the top of the scope which can take the image out of the field of vision. This is possibly due to poor stability of the tripod. I do like the little scope for zero in the scope mounted on the rifle. It comes with a carry bag that's decent quality. I would recommend this scope for the price. If you need high performance this may not be the best choice.

As I am just getting back into archery I did not want to spend $200 on a scope, but I am practicing at longer distances like 50yd, and seeing the arrows on the target gets a bit out of the range of my binoculars. I have a home range where I practice and having this scope has really helped me tune my bow more effectively. As for the scope, it appears well made and has a nice textured sort of outer skin which provides a solid gripping surface when mounting or moving the scope. As others have mentioned you do need to have your eye in just the right place to get a good picture, but once you get the hang of it it's not a huge deal. I use a taller tripod with an attachment that allows me to angle the scope toward me so along with the 45 degree angle of the eye piece I can get the angle at just the right position like other more expensive scopes that allow more angling of the eye piece. I don't know if it would provide a good view of arrows over the 50 yd max distance I need, but for me it's fine. The provided tripod is nothing all that great but it does the job if you need it. The phone mount definitely leaves something to be desired though. I attempted to mount my phone using the adapter and it was more trouble than it was worth. I had thought about getting another model of mount, but ends up I don' t really see the need. In the end, I am rating the scope on just the scope alone and not the other peripherals so at the price point I have no issue giving it five stars and recommending it to anyone looking for a low cost, yet quality spotting scope. It's not the best by a long shot, but it does get the job done and is well made so should last a long time if taken care of properly.

This scope was purchased on a lightning deal to see how well it worked for 4H shooting sports. This scope has a great picture quality for the price. The variable power is clear at all settings when spotting .22 rounds at the range. Range yardage is 25yards and 50yards and this scope fits the purpose with ease or setting up as well as the ease of spotting with the angled eye piece. We had tried a different scope with a straight eye piece, but it was a strain to be comfortable when spotting after shots. Pros: -This scope is a fraction of the cost of some of the other big name brands. -Adjustable magnification is clear, no halo effects, or blurring when in focus. -The stand that is included is metal and works for table spotting or has enough adjustment for spotting from positions on the ground. - So far it has proven to be durable and well made. - The carrying bag is ok so far, but shoulder strap is a bit thin. Cons: - It doesn't come with a "quick" mount, but the screw mount stays tight, just take a bit longer to set up. - Carry bag shoulder strap is a bit thin, which doesn't bother as much since it's carried mostly in cargo box to and from the range, but could be an issue for someone that is carrying the scope through the woods. -

I didn't expect too much out of this spotting scope. I would like to give realistic expectations for shooters. You will be able to see holes in paper at 100 yards and dirt splash on missed targets a longer distances, but you will not be able to see holes on targets at 300 yards. The glass is just not good enough. I have 20/20 vision and am not able to see holes in 'shoot and see' style paper targets at 300 yards. The glass is very very very 'alright'. For less than $70 you should not expect good glass. That being said, if you just want to see how you are doing at 100 yards, and have someone call dirt splashes out at 300+ this is just fine. I am able to reasonable see dirt splash to make adjustment calls off of out to the max of my local range (460 yards on steel target [hits dont really cause the same dirt splash as a miss]). Its decent for the money but will certainly leave you wanting more clarity.

Purchased this scope for spotting targets for shooting accuracy. Love this scope. Quality product that comes with its own stand and carrying case. The scope has two protective covers for the eye piece and the front lens. What is great about the front lens is that you have a pull out shield for when the sun is facing the scope that will avert the sun glare. Easy to focus and zero in on your shooting targets to pinpoint for accuracy. This scope is easy to set up and break down to put into the carrying case. The case has a flap inside that will keep the stand from coming into contact with the scope for transporting and storing. We have used other scopes, and have found that this scope works just as good if not better than some of the more expensive spotting scopes. No problem for 100 meter shooting range. Viewing is crystal clear. That being said this scope can also be used for bird watching and other nature hobbies. Works better than my binoculars, and is the perfect size to transport around. Note: The only thing I encountered when attempting to attach the stand to the the scope is that the knob screw might be a little stubborn to turn. This is because the foam pad that cushions the scope where it will attach to the stand is a little stiff in the area right around the threads of the screw. Just turn the screw knob a couple of times back and forth to loosen up the foam as this will make it easier to attach to the scope. When the stand legs are fully extended outward the scope is very stable on any level surface you are using. Experienced normal wind conditions while using this scope and did not observe any wobbling or tipping. The carrying case measurements are as follows: 14.5" inches long by 5" inches tall by 4" inches wide, and has an adjustable shoulder strap. Great spotting scope for the price.

First, to be clear... this is not a $thousand$ optic. So, temper your expectations accordingly. This spotting scope is a very good optic. For the money, it is a great optic. It's well worth the price and should give you a long, serviceable life. I received this a few weeks ago and since then, I have used it several times, under different lighting conditions - ranging from overcast, to full-sun, to evening-low-light. Under each condition, it performed well. I don't know why some folks cannot make this work for them. I have had several people us it and not one of them had any issues. At 100 yards in all conditions, using 60X, I can CLEARLY see the bullet holes in paper targets from .223 rounds. There is absolutely no issues, whatsoever, with visibility at this range. The eye relief, or lack thereof (remember it's not a $thousand$ optic) requires me to remove my prescription glasses and get up close to the lens. But, once focused, I can see the holes perfectly and I can also see the lettering on the target. Again, perfectly functional. I was at the range last evening with my grandson, about 1 hour before sunset and neither of us had any problems seeing our shot placement at 100 yards. At 200 yards, it is not quite as well defined. At this distance, I think you are approaching the end of it's usable range for spotting targets. But, you CAN see the holes. It's much better, if you are in good light, however. The focus is a bit rough to get correct at this distance, but when you get it set correctly - it's good. Last evening was tough... usable, but tough to see. That was because of the lower light conditions, approaching dusk. When we used it at 200 yards during a bright & sunny day, however, it was significantly better! Almost as good as at 100 yards... almost. As mentioned by others, the included tripod is junk. So what?!?!? If you bought this scope for the tripod, I'm sorry. Spend another $10-15 and get a decent 50" tripod. It makes all the difference in the world. Once you figure out the eye relief - you really do need to get right up close at the higher magnification settings, and get it correctly focused - it works just fine. If you are expecting the same kind of imagery from this scope, as you can get from a stupid-expensive optic, you will be disappointed. If you are expecting a good image at reasonably usable distances at/under 200 yards, then you will be very pleased with the value and quality of this scope. Will it hold up over the long run? Probably, if you give it some reasonable care and don't throw it around.
