I originally ordered a 5 ft cable and then realized that I wanted a longer one so I ordered this one. When I used this very nice looking 10' braided I keep getting that squealing feedback. Sometimes I can just more the amp around and it would stop. It was a pain to deal with. I had my original purchase HOSA Guitar Cable 5' so I figured I would try it to see if that also gave me "the squeal". Nope. No problem at all. The HOSA is a less expensive cable (the 10' to replace this one is costing me about $8) so for the trouble and expense involved to return this braided one I will just chalk this one off to a bad purchase. Maybe there is a problem with a wire going to one of the plug ends. It is just not worth the hassle to trouble shoot it. If you sell this kind of gear you are going to have a certain amount of problems. That just comes with the territory. I had a problem but it does not mean that everyone will have a problem. If there was a greater dollar amount involved I would return for a credit which Amazon.com has been good about when I did need one.UPDATE: The company emailed me after they read of my problem with their product and wanted to send me a replacement cord at no charge. They shared that they had had a problem with a batch of cords which mine had probably been part of. They asked if I would update my review after receiving a replacement. I agreed. It was only fair. I promptly got a new cord, tried it out., it works flawlessly and it LOOKS GOOD which was why I bought it to begin with. Their follow up was commendable especially since it took them having to comb back through their records to find my order. Effort and attitude are everything. I am both impressed and satisfied.

When it works the cable is awesome, perfect... BUT it has a tendency to just drop and when it does drop, nothing brings it back. I can be playing and then all of a sudden, complete silence. I check my connections, power the amp off, power back up, and still nothing.I have tightened the cable's jackets, tried it on another guitar, on another amp, and nothing, no sound, no buzz, silence...I will plug it in the following day and it'll work just fine. Well ninjas are supposed to be silent.I'm not a performer so I'll chalk it up to "you get what you pay for."I'll stick with Monster in the future.

Good looking, heavy gauge, coils nicely without getting bound up. I purchased a different brand (supposedly premium brand) longer cord, but noticed it was very "noisy" when plugging and unplugging and it didn't lay down neatly. I thought I'd try a Rig Ninja cord (the gold ends got me) and see if it was less "noisy". I used my R.N. it last week at a gig and noticed the "plug in" noise was much less than my other braided cord and it behaved nicely on stage and was a more substantial feel to it. Very happy with it so far, I'll be replacing my other "premium cord" with another Rig Ninja too.

YOU MUST BE KIDDING! Again! I'm trying to run a studio here, not a tag sale! I opened the second brand new cable package ordered through Amazon and you, for use in the studio today. The shielding was not attached at all. SEE My last comment below:I chose this cable for studio guitar use. The overall quality and sound are very good. The only disappointing issue was that when I received the unopened package and removed the brand new cable one jack was loose and coming undone. Not a deal breaker, but based upon the reviews I was not expecting that.

If you're like me, you are probably used to hauling around heavy-Guage cables that tangle, have a difficult time fitting into carrying cases and lack aesthetic appeal. Well, at least that was me before finding these ones. These cables do not tangle, they are easy to wrap and store quickly and their blue-corded and gold-plated finishes are pleasing to the eye. Above all else, they still remain durable and reliable. Thus, I bought two sets. The only thing I would change is purchasing their 20ft over their 10ft next time!Also, the Ninja Rig company has been extremely courteous in wanting to make sure I was 100% satisfied with their product - I am.

The Ninja instrument cables works great on my wife's 12 string Martin AE guitar. Excellent transferral tonal clarity, no buzzing from outside sources, very sturdy construction, high quality material. The 1/4" male tips don't loosen up so there's no more annoying worrying about needing to tightening the tips before plugging in. Plus it's beautiful as well as winds up easy without tangles and knots! Would buy again and highly recommend it to all musicians! Buy now!

These Rig Ninja instrument cables are great. The blue/white tweed cable jacket is beautiful, and matches my three blue guitars well. I have three of them: A 10ft straight plug, a 10ft angle plug and a 20ft straight plug. The cable is very flexible and compliant. They roll up nicely, and do not tangle at all. These cables also lay out on the floor well with no "looping" like many other cables exhibit. The connectors are handsome and appear to be rugged, and the little rubber grip helps out, too. Also, their electrical properties are very good. The shielding is effective and the low capacitance does not deteriorate the high frequencies like higher capacitance cables suffer from. Highly recommended!!

Updated: I initially gave this a one star review after getting a bad cable. The company sent me a replacement though, and it is possibly the best guitar cable I've tried. I highly recommend this product. The sound was super clean, and feedback was reduced.
