Kuretake Bimoji Fude Pen - Extra Fine

I love this pen is waterproof and writes beautifully

I just happened to find this brush pen by accident and fell into love with it right away. You see, I have been writing Chinese for a long time but could yet find any ball pens that can write Chinese smoothly and effortlessly until I came upon this pen. This pen can be held just like a regular ball pen and yet its brush is hard enough to write like a ball pen but soft enough to display the final Chinese characters close to those that were written with a traditional (soft) brush pen. (see pic of two Chinese sentences using to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year, Year of the Dragon, 2/10/2024 that I wrote with this pen) Unlike the Pentel brush pens, which cost more but their brushes are too soft, can only be held like traditional brush pens (i.e. perpendicularly) which will take years of practice to master. Therefore, if you are beginners with brush pens or those like me who would like to use a brush pen like a regular ball pen, you would be doing yourself a favor in getting this pen. I actually ordered several more of this pen and a set of five (different thickness of brush) of this brush pen. You can simply use them like disposable pens since they are cheap enough. I really want to find color brush pens made by this company for writing, but could only find those that were made for water color drawings, which are not fit for writing.

The pen arrived as promised and was exactly as described. I used it for my art assignment and found it to be an excellent tool for my purposes.

I use this for inking drawings. It takes a little getting used to, but I like it!

Great for comics and anime drawings and sketch work for thin lines and back ground shadingThis brush pen has a thicker radius so the thickness helps with the overall control with linework.I tend to work my lines fast and this pen keeps the shape of the line no matter which direction i take the line. If you put more pressure it will give a fatter line but not much. I have other pens for that purpose.The tip is hard so it will withstand heavy handed artists and will not fray like some brush pens do.For fine line work this is your pen. I would highly recommend this to any artist that wants to get into brush pen art.

You have to press very hard to get that calligraphy writing… Definitely not the best pen I’ve ever used
