History Pockets: Moving West, Grades 4-6+

Great way for kids to learn facts and information about westward expansion with combined reading and hands on projects.

You can't go wrong with these. I've been homeschooling many years and have used these for at least the past ten yrs. They are awesome hands-on activities.

I ordered these books as used in like new condition. They came quicker than expected and individually wrapped in clear plastic wrap. Both books are in mint condition! Would definitely purchase from this seller again! Can’t wait to use in the classroom with my students this fall!Thanks!

My 4th grader isn't as enthused about it. I think this breaks the lessons down into entertaining chunks with nice activities but if your kid is not an artsy craftsy type (as mine is not) they will not appreciate the cutting and coloring aspects of this. We stopped doing the pockets but kept the book for some of the reading which is concise and easy to understand.

I absolutely love these books! They are very engaging and my son actually WANTS to do the projects. We use this series to supplement our homeschool curriculum. I usually have a hard time getting my son to do "crafty" things, but when we finish one of these books he actually wants to know what book is next. Lots of fun.

I haven't used the book yet, but the projects look great: fun and challenging. I like the idea of having a "book" to keep all the projects and information in together. The completed books are sure to become keepsakes of our study of American history this year. I also bought the Explorer History Pockets as well and even used this format to make our own "pirate" books too.

We use these in our homeschool and love the hands-on approach. It always adds to our study and I find that my boys are more engaged using these.

I like that this product requires hands on activity and plenty of opportunity for discussion. I will say I have to supplement in some areas but it is fun for the kids!
