LapGear MyDesk 45346 Green

It is a little heavier than I expected, therefore, I do have to adjust the position it sits on my lap if I am typing for a length of time.I am a writer, and have to watch that I keep the position of it changed when my legs begin to feel pressure. I even move the positionI am sitting in, which I will write does help my comfort level. I write at times for extended lengths of time, and it totally disrupts my process if I amin discomfort. Other than that, I do believe that it keeps my laptop from having an issue of overheating. Jan C

We love these lap desks!!! We recently took them to a convention to make it easy to take notes. Perfect size; not too big or too small. They sit great on your lap, at the perfect angle. The pillow on the under side is super soft, and is actually two long pillows. I used mine for typing notes with my iPad Air with keyboard and it worked perfectly. I also got one for each of my daughters and they used them for writing notes as well. There are two small "cups" toward the back that they used for storing their mints, but would be great for pencils, etc. The carry handle makes them easy to take around and they are lightweight. It is wonderful that they are available in so many colors. My daughter has already found another use for them. She placed it on her lap the correct way and said "LapGear", then flipped it over and said "NapGear", since the pillow on the other side doubled as a nice resting place for her head!

I needed to replace a lap desk (bought on Amazon) that started shedding its microbeads after a year or so. This one does not have microbeads, so that is a point in its favor. However, with my very short stature, I don't like the two separate channels on the base. The front channel barely rests on my lap, so it constantly slides forward if I adjust in my chair, and it threatens to dump my paperwork. Additionally, it's not as large as my previous one. My laptop fits fine, but I homeschool, and I find it impossible to fit an open grading manual on it. This is frustrating, so I'm constantly moving the manual aside to fit the papers flat so I can mark them, then moving the manual back over so it won't fall off the arm of the chair where I had to set it.

We did not want to buy anything too fancy because of the price tags VS reviews! This works, shipped free (Prime)! My lap top has non skid little feet on it so the slight angle is OK. Laptop will stay cooler when in use on my lap as opposed to using a pillow, (my stepdaughter's crashed shortly after it overheated from her using it in bed without proper ventiliation). The soft supports underneath are better than some of the more expensive ones.Funny how the brighter colors were at least $5 less than the black one which is what we would have purchased so they would look OK in sight in the living room when not in use, but GREEN is my favorite color!I WOULD RECOMMEND! Please note one came cracked and I had to return, completely pain free and I had the new one before the cracked one was actually back at AMAZON!

All told, I bought four of these. My kid took the first one I bought for myself. My mom needed one. My nephew needed one.My laptop covers the pen holders or whatever they are, but then I don't often use pen ink on my computer. The price varied according to color choice. Style points not being a thing in this instance, we all got the same (cheapest) color.Dang. I think I hear the other kid coming up the hall to tell me he really needs one for himself.

This seems like a pretty good item, but when I removed the tag from the back (because it was so large and in the way) the stitching tore open and the plastic beads inside flew EVERYWHERE. I taped up the back as best as I could, but they are still finding their way out onto everything I own. I want it to work still, since I bought it for doing my homework, but I am fighting a losing battle. I would buy it again, but I am scared now.

I love my new lap desk! It has made working on my laptop so much more comfortable. When I use it, I don't feel like I have to shift around so much to keep the heat off my lap. It also keeps my laptop level so I'm not constantly adjusting the angle of the monitor. The lap desk is just the right size to fit my laptop, and I don't feel like it slides around at all. My laptop is on the larger side, so there isn't any room for a mouse, which doesn't bother me at all because I don't game on it and I prefer to use the touch pad anyway. I also love that it has storage compartments for the times when I decide to write the old fashioned way- I could store pens or sticky notes if I needed to.

Very nice, comfortable laptop lap desk. The "bean bag" padding underneath makes it very comfortable on one's lap, with no protruding edges digging into ones thighs. Excellent value for the price. I got the green one because it was the least expensive--under $11, compared to as high as around $20 for the black. If color doesn't matter, get the cheapest one! The green isn't bad at all, and looks better than in the photo.

I didnt relize that this would not fit my 18" laptop....but it works good for reading and writing! and the little pen holders/holes are brilliant!!
