In brief, the title "Power Carving Tools & Techniques" kind of implies both tools and techniques. It's almost all tools and not even much useful info about them. Seemed more like a tool catalog than a magazine. An I had to really hunt amongst to tool pages to find any info on techniques. Don't buy it.

I'm just starting to dabble in doing some simple wood carving with a Dremel. This is a great book that provides the basics as far as some simple projects and also as far as the tools. One thing I was a bit overwhelmed with was trying to figure out the best use for the myriad of different Dremel bits. This has definitely helped in that area as well as providing loads of other power carving info I didn't even know I needed to know.

Magazine is filled with lots of information on power carving. I don't usually buy magazines because they are filled with ads. Most ads in this issue pertained to power carving accessaries. Would recommend.

As I have had a chance to read through this book, it seems to have the information needed to use my Dremel for carving wood.

I got it to day and looked thru and really learned somethings. I'm glad I got it. More to read.

No wood carver should be without this book.
