Cartago Dunas II Men's Sandals

I had purchased these twice before when made by RIDER and they were the most comfortable flip flops I'd ever worn, so I ordered again, except this time by Cartago. There are 2 big differences. First of all the hole they made for the material that goes in between your big and 2nd toes is slightly farther back towards the heel, which doesn't allow your foot to go quite forward enough without digging in to your flesh. That also means that the back of your heel will be right at or almost over the back edge of the heel. On the original RIDER design, this was not an issue and fit was perfect. The other problem is that they changed the cushioning (if you want to call it that) that your feet are on....before, I remember the RIDER ones were super soft, supportive and comfy, right out of the box. NO MORE! They changed the materials and now they are much harder and really not nearly as comfortable as the RIDERS. I have my other 2 pair of RIDERS and compared them and in my opinion, they messed with a perfect design, and now these are just like average flip flops....before they were perfect fitting, uber-comfy. Now, not so much. Will not buy again! Very disappointed!

I ordered a size 11 like my old Riders and they are identical in every way. I love these, ordered a second pair just in case I can’t find them in 4 years. Not sure what the one reviewer is talking about, these are the Riders you love. I have an old Rider pair still, I can slip out of those and into the Cartago, they are the same.

An earlier review said these were built differently than expected, with a different fit too. I just don’t see it after comparing it to my Rider Dunas II sandals. These are identical, and I couldn’t be happier I found them. Great fit, solid comfort, and I love that I can wear them to dress up or dress down an outfit.

My fiancé wears a size 13 and I ordered him a 13 and they fit perfectly. Comparable to Rider brand. He didn’t even know they weren’t the exact same as his others (rider brand). I still don’t think he’s even questioned it. Lol

I stocked up on the old model so was surprised to see the name change. Honestly I can't tell a difference besides the writing on it. First pair I received was a mixed box of 11 & 13 which seemed like an odd mix. I sent them back and received 2 of the same on my next order. I like these because they don't have in material on the foot bottom to get smelly and wash easily.

I am a pretty heavy tall guy at 340lb and usually, sandals do not last on me. especially the foam ones. They become like tacos lol. Also, many sandals on me will usually worn out very fast and start affecting my back since the support at the bottom has decreased. However these sandals made of rubber have lots of support and they don't sink in like the foam ones or other sandals. You have that nice bouncing and suspension feeling on your foot. This matters if you walk a lot in sandals and they do not affect my back. Indeed a plus for these sandals and you can bet i will be getting more. Lastly, given the fact I use them all day at home they will last me at least 1 year which is a plus.

It’s a good sandals and comfortable like the Ride was. It was hurting me a little bit when I was using for the first day, but now it’s ok. My fingers stay a little bit forward comparing to Ride sandals. I’m giving 4 stars only because these details. It’s a good sandal and I would buy it again.

These sandals are of absolutely fantastic quality! The build seems strong, and they are super comfortable!
