Great option to save space and money
These are a great way to expand your dumbbell set cheaply.Firstly, these will not stick to neoprene coated dumbbells. They are also too big for anything less than 20lbs. Right now I’ve got 5’s, 10’s, 15’s and 20’s. After the 20’s I only have 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, etc etc and it’s so nice since I have a small space. They stick really well and are easy to put on and not that hard to get off. You can pull them off with a decent amount of force but they won’t come off so easy if you were to shake the weight or something.I’ve dropped my dumbbells with magnets on the either side for a while and they have yet to crack or break. Definitely great functionality and are easy to use.I kind of wish 5lbs were made so you could stick 5lbs on one side and 2.5lbs on the other for a 3/4 increment, but I may try the ones that clamp to the handle. I didn’t buy those because I heard they don’t stick well and pinch your hand.

An Outstanding Add On
What an important add on for my Power Blocks Elite EXP! Due to their design, there's no 12.5lbs, 22.5lbs,32.5lbs and so on. With certain exercises, a sudden 5lbs increase can throw off your gains. But Weight Plates is the perfect solution. These plates stick on strong with no worries of slipping off. On the pictures you'll see I placed them on the ends and or the bottoms when you want the 12.5lbs increment. But either way you have two options on placement (or anywhere there's metal) I highly recommend these Platemate additions.Ps: The magnet can be hard to release when placed at the ends. But my secret is just slide them off. And no worries, the magnets are coated in rubber so it won't scratch the dumbbells.

Pretty strong magnet
The magnet is pretty strong and they work very well on my Snode AD80's. The diameter is really good for the Snodes as well. If you are using these as intended on cast dumbbells you will probably be pretty happy with them. Don't drop your dumbbells or these will come off.

Strong magnets, Durable, Pricey?
Bought two sets of these to supplement PowerBlock sets. Very strong holding power when working out, never worried the weights will fall off mid-set. Price seems expensive but the product is very well made; your grandchildren will be using these after you are long gone :-)

Great product
I bought two pairs of Platemate 2.5 lbs, and they work well with my Snode AD80. Interestingly, each one weighs around 2.46 lbs, so even though they aren't a full 2.5 lbs, they still work fine for me.

Much better than the original and worth it for quick microloading
I own the original 1.25 & 2.5 lb plate mates. I love how they can quickly be added, removed, or switched for microloading, but they sometimes fell off of my kettlebells (no swinging movements obv) I own Ironmaster dumbbells and kettlebells and didn't like the exposed magnets on the original, since they sometimes scratched up what I put them on.The newer ones have a coating over the magnet that will protect your other weights, and the donut magnet is much stronger than the original five smaller round magnets. It makes it harder to pull off, but much more secure. They are pricey but nothing else really does what these do. I love them for Metcon.

Fantastic micro magnet plates!
I previously had 4 x 1.25 magnet platemates I would put on the end of my dumbbells. Not completely flush....have fun getting those off just on the aspect of the magnet being strong AF. I sold those and got these guys that I put on the bottom of my Powerblock dumbbells. The way the Powerblocks work is you can't get to increments of 12.5, 22.5, 32.5, etc. all the way up to 92.5. These magnetic donuts allow you to get to those missing increments. Then if you really want to get at the 1.25 micro increments....you could buy 2 of the 1.25lbs. magnetic donuts and put those on the side or end of your dumbbells.Of course your big question is: Are the strong and safe on the bottom of the dumbbells. Well, I'm glad you asked. They are LOCKED on there like they're glued there. I tried as hard as I could to jerk them off there and to break that magnetic bond....wasn't happening. Those are as safe on there as you are in your mama's arms. So no worries there. Are they cheap? No....and you could make your own to be sure....but buy nice or buy twice. Aka buy once cry once. The magnets are ridiculously strong and the rubberized coating is very nice, grippy, looks and feels great. Can't say enough good things about these guys if you have a legit use for them and you know you're going to use them. We'll all be long gone and these things will still be holding on.Avoid radiation, breakage, heavy abuse and of course any type of liquid ingress....and your magnets will literally last for millions of uses.
