First, the real measurements:15.75 inches long, 11.75 inches wide, 5/16 inches thick (roughly). Margin of error is less than 2%.1.441 kg on a food scaleTherefore density of this material is ~125 kg/m^3This product is cheaper than others on Amazon by a significant margin, but that's because there's less material in it. The noise reduction likely isn't as great as the other products in the 200 kg/m^3 class, but the price gives it good value. It ships wrapped in a bunch of plastic and tape, the packaging was a pain. If it ships with heavy objects in the same box the corners may crush.I was using it to make a bulletin board with acoustic properties, however, and the individual pieces flex a fair amount. It does hold a thumbtack well, but the needle pokes through to the other side. Use a proper backing board of 3/16" thickness or better if you want to keep your security deposit. Holding it in a frame isn't sufficient. Next time I'll spend a bit more on the higher-density panels. I will praise the edges, they were nice clean perpendicular cuts, so pushing the panels together was easy.

They definitely help the room. I covered the walls with them with about 4 inch gaps between each panel, they look really nice. I highly recommend command strips or an alternative brand adhesive to hold them on. They hold super well. They look great and definitely deaden the room significantly. I have a medium to large sized room and needed 48 at least, I'll probably buy another 24 or so the the upper ceiling, so make sure you buy enough to cover the major sections of wall(s).

Like other reviewers said, pads are not true to posted size.These came in at 15" wide.The pad construction is great and as advertised.Relatively easy to cut/form, color is true.Nearly $2.00 each, will work as intended howevernot cost effective for a large project.

I have a VERY noisy fridge in a little cubby in my kitchen that reflects noise off the cabinets and the hardwood floor. I Order a pack of these and stapled them to the wall going about 6 feet up and 2 feet wide. The considerably reduced the reflective noise by 30-40% for general operation. Definitely worth the decent price for some extra noise dampening, will probably order another pack to try and reduce the noise even further.

For the price, this product is well worth paying for because these boards are better quality than I had expected. They definitely reduced echos noticeably, and also blocked sound from travelling through walls as easily.The surfaces of these panels are not smooth, but also not too rough. But they are mostly all consistently cut to size and they work!

I have them in my basement music studio. Placed in the right areas (first reflection points) they make a difference. My room has long parallel walls, so these were a must. Don't expect any real absorption until the upper mids.

They are ok. Main concerns are the sizes are slightly inconsistent so it is difficult to line them up without it looking odd. Also I found them to be mostly ineffective at noise reduction. They do seem to muffle some Boise very slightly, but it's more of a "better than nothing"

Not my first purchase of these from this company and it won’t be my last. Great product and the sound dampening I get from them is better than I ever expected. I mount them with a 6mm gap between the wall and the tile. This seems to work the best for me. Bought them to stop sound transferring into the wall of my neighbours place after they complained. My neighbours are happier now and have thanked us for the money spent on fixing the issue.

Installed on my door but exactly the same amount of noise would leave my door. Then installed them on wall corners because Im hoping they have an effect that Im not noticing. If you can make towels look good, I would instead install towels since they are better sound absorbers than these instead of paying 2.5 for each laptop sized panel.

Definitely not sound proofing.I put two layers of it and still didn't help at all.The size is also incorrect. It is 40cm x 30cm, not 12in x 16in

Tried 4 types of double sided tape, including gorilla glue. Nothing seems to adhere to the felt. It would be nice if these came with built-in adhesion or something, cuz now I just have pieces of unremovable tape over my wall and have to repaint because that tape pulls off the paint.
