Stuck this to the inside of my friends Boat windshield at the start of the summer... its still on there - never came off! Use it to hold a phone for playing music or going live on FB... works great.

This Falcon iTech Car Mount for cell phones works very well. We have been trying it out in my Mustang (with an HTC Droid DNA) and my son's Jeep (with a Samsung Galaxy S3) for about one week now, and have been impressed.The Jeep has a narrow dashboard with a rough texture, so we mounted this on the window instead of the dash. while the Jeep did not take any off-road excursions (at least that i know of...) during the week, the mount held up to everything else that came its way.The Mustang's dashboard is much smoother and has room to mount the unit, while angling it lower to not interfere with visibility much. Again, the base worked well and the mount held securely.The holder fit our phones nicely; very simple design, just like a binder clip that you might use to hold a stack of paper together. The holder fit on the mount with ease, and the retail materials notes that the unit is covered by a 60 day warranty.This is a good, low cost phone mount and holder for use in your car. If you are looking for an affordable mount & holder of this size and style, for use similar to what I present above, then we would recommend giving this unit from Falcon iTech a try based on our experience with it.Recommended.Go for it.We received this item gratis from the seller, without obligation, and decided to objectively test and review it. Although I have tried a few windshield mounts for smart phones, I do not personally use them in my vehicle, because they reduce visibility, and are a distraction. Instead, I have a cell phone mount attached to one of my AC vents. With that being said, I was asked to evaluate this mount, and because it had an interesting looking clamp, I agreed to do so.This mount is actually well designed, and works pretty well. The clamp is just over an inch wide, and the jaws can spread to about 3.7", which should be wide enough to accommodate most phones, and the spring has enough tension to provide a tight grip. Rubber inserts attached to the jaws helps provide a secure grip, to keep a phone from sliding out.The suction cup provides a secure connection to a glass surface. The mount has an adjustable ball joint that doesn't have a great deal of range, but it's probably enough for most situations. There is a locking ring to keep the clamp from moving.I positioned the mount at various places, and there were no issues with either visibility or getting a secure mount. I think best position is near the top of the windshield, but you may not be able to swing your sun visor down.Once again, a sample was provided for evaluation, and if you do want to mount a phone to your windshield, this mount isn't as obtrusive as some, and seems to be quite sturdy and reliable. And the cost is very reasonable compared to similar windshield mounts.

Just OK. 50% of the time the suction doesn't stay securely and will randomly come off while driving - not good. Also the product isn't very heavy duty so when driving even on smooth pavement there is vibration that causes the phone to move around slightly - just enough to wonder if it's harming the phone at all and to be a little annoying. Still looking for the perfect hands-free phone holder solution.

Great product, but I had to switch as I went through two of them. Not the fault of the product, just the combination of road vibration in my truck and the larger iPhone 6s+ (worked like a dream with smaller, lighter iPhone 5). Led to a failure of the neck where it connects to the pivot ball in the exact same spot each time.Were it to work with the heavier phone I would have purchased a third time.

Worked well until it broke three weeks after I bought it

The suction held the mount and device well to the windshield; unfortunately that's the only thing that really worked. The clip has a red soft plastic non-slip material but if you leave your device attached to the dash, it sticks and you have to pry it apart. The plastic twist lock didn't work well. I would have to re-tighten this every day. The other problem is the spring clip pin keep falling out. After so many times of opening the closing the spring clip pin begins the slide out and the spring would pop out.. The last time this happened, I didn't even bother trying to put it back and just tossed it in the trash.Although I could have requested a refund, I didn't bother (and didn't notify the seller) the item was less than $10.00 and just wasn't worth the hassle.
