NKD Living Vital Wheat Gluten 1kg

Great for making seitan and this is my go too product of choice. I use the food mixer and it doesn’t come out too tough.

If you're looking at this then you know about vital wheat gluten and why you want it, so I won't go into that. Suffiec to say that I use this product to make seitan and have bought this brand multiple times as it is a reasonable price and good quality. Crucially for my household, this has no warnings on about nut traces so we can actually use it in a house with someone with a severe nut allergy. (This can be rare in the wholefoods world where MANY products have such warnings!)

I brought this to try and make seitan for the first time.It was so easy!!!You have to add a different type of flour to it as well, unless you want really chewy seitan. I added 50% additional plain flour as that is all I had. But I'm going to look into a higher protein flour for my next batch.You also need to add flavour and there are plenty of recipes online to follow.I'm going to try and add a little to my granary mix next time I make bread as I have struggled with the mix as is. Will update when I have done this.

I bought this to mix with grounbait to make an excellent paste for fishing. It works very well thickening up over night.

This has totally enhanced my bread making. I add 2 tablespoons to 500 gram of flour and now my loaves are perfect. Great product highly recommend.

This flour makes great seitan, easy and quick to make, and the bag reseals well in between uses.
