The RAM Mounts Quick-Grip XL Phone Holder is exactly what I’ve come to expect from RAM products—rugged, well-built, and extremely dependable. The construction feels solid and durable, and it securely holds my phone in place even while driving rough 4WD trails and off-roading over uneven terrain. I’ve never had to worry about my phone shifting, bouncing around, or coming loose, even during more aggressive trail use. One of the biggest advantages is the versatility of the RAM mounting system. Since it’s a RAM mount, there are countless mounting options available, allowing you to attach it almost anywhere and adapt it to nearly any setup. Whether in a vehicle, on an off-road rig, or another application, it’s easy to customize exactly where and how you want it mounted. If you need a tough phone holder that can handle demanding conditions while keeping your device secure, this is an excellent option.

Bought the Quick-Grip for an S20 FE. I also have an X-Grip, bought a couple of years ago for another phone. I find the Quick-Grip far more secure for car or bike installation, and the X-Grip better for holding my phone on my desk, for example when making video calls, reading instructions when I needed both hands, etc. I reviewed the comments in depth before buying the Quick-Grip, and I'll address what I found myself now that I have one. Material and assembly: This is not cheap construction. I have been using Ram mounts for GPS units for years and none have broken or given me trouble. The materials are strong, and if you are breaking it during assembly or use, you are using too much force. Mine came with multiple length screws for assembly, so you will be able to adjust for your situation. I used the medium length screws so that the jam nuts were secure but the screws did not extend beyond the back of the case when assembled, for the ball and the side arms. Assembly was intuitive. Some may want more explicit instructions, but the pictogram instructions where more than enough for this simple product. Usefulness: The Quick-Grip is definitely more secure than an X-Grip in any vibration environment. The spring is quite strong, but I have no problem installing or removing the phone with one hand. Hook your index finger on a side support arm then press up and out on the bottom/center of the phone with your thumb. You do have to be careful or you might drop the phone when the bottom pops out of the case, but it's a learning experience and easy to do once you get the hang of it. Because the side arms have multiple slots you can choose for assembly, I have access to all screen functions, fingerprint sensor, side buttons and the charging port. The camera still works with one exception. Because of the multiple camera lenses, at 1X or greater, the camera works fine. At 0.5X (zooming out), there is a slight dark area at one edge of the image because of the wide angle view. Not an issue for me. My phone is mounted for ease of access to the phone functions, maps, navigation, etc, and not for photography. The X-Grip would be my choice if I wanted a mount just for photography. My older phone with a different camera layout works fine in the Quick-Grip. I think there was a review where someone had modified the Quick-Gripfor their needs. I don't see why this can't be done without compromising the integrity if that's what you want to do. I'm happy with it as is. Overall, the Quick-Grip is a great holder.

It doesn't accommodate extremely thick phones like a Blackview Xplore 1, but it's definitely well made. Which is why I kept it despite it not being able to hold my phone: I know I'll use it for a smaller phone someday.

The prior version with the X-grip had to use the supplied elastic band to hold phone securely. Was annoying to have to pull the ears over the phone corners every time. This one uses a simple top and bottom clamp and holds much more securely. __CONS__ It's a really big plate. It obstructed the view to the dash on my Suzuki Burgman 650 when I initially installed it. I subsequently turned the plate upside down (it's asymmetrical vertically), and that cleared the view. There is no provision for rotating the phone once installed. The ball is coated with a rubber-like material, so even if you clamp it lightly, you still can't rotate the mount. Assembly - installing the little side stops (4 of them) was annoyingly tricky: they wanted to twist and turn in their slots and it was challenging getting them to _stay_ in their slots until I got the screw and nut positioned and threaded for each one. Without the phone, looking at that big plate is still kind of annoying. Might look for something a little more trim.

I love this thing. I'm an avid off-roader and needed something to hold the phone steady while driving over obstacle's so I can use it for navigation, tire pressure monitoring, etc. I had been using the ram-mount X-grip, but the phone turns side to side freely in that device (not sure what good it is). Their solution to this movement is to attach a rubber stabilizer to each corner, which is terribly inconvenient. So when I saw this phone holder I gave it a try. Not only is it cheaper, it's better than that "X" thing I've been frustrated with for years. It's easy to put this together with just a Phillips screwdriver and it attaches easily to the 1" ball the X was attached to. Putting the phone in and and taking it out is easy and the phone is absolutely secure when in place. I bought the large size and my 16 pro max fits fine. There is a choice of 6 locations for the 4 side pins depending on where the side buttons are. I used the bottom 4 of 6. Again, I'm totally satisfied with this and highly recommend it for anyone who needs a secure phone holder. Probably works well on a motorcycle or mountain bike, too.

Worked well until I looped, on the bright side it did a little crash protection. In all seriousness, it does the job well and it’s easy to use.

Ottimo prodotto, l'ho messo al posto di quello precedente per cambio cellulare utilizzando il supporto precedente (della GIVI) perchè mi piaceva. Fissato con 4 viti! E' molto robusto (già TESTATO in fuori strada anche con caduta a terra ... e non si è spostato di un millimetro! telefono rimasto in sede). Costa un po' e manca il supporto per il traliccio (almeno nel mio pacco..). CONSIGLIATO!

Product does feel and look solid. But its not complete. Its does not come with the attachment part . So you need to additionally order that. This was not mentioned anywhere I find it miss leading - Don't recommend this product

Holds my samsung s23+ tight. Use it on my fishing kayak to take selfies with fish. Solid mount!! Adjustable side supports to fit your phone preventing any wobble. Worth ever $

Best generic holder I've had, nice to be able to place the side arms in the best position so they don't interfere with the phone buttons. I trust RAM quality over the rest of the competition,
