The drive looks nice and works as advertised. I liked the included USB-C adapter and liked the way the USB cable fits into the case. The only downside to this is that the cable is only about 8" long.My only real issue with the drive is that it came without a faceplate, which is clearly shown in the pictures. At first I thought it had just popped off in the packaging but it was nowhere to be found. I had some old laptops and external drives but none of the faceplates would fit on this unit. It works fine - just not too pretty.

My old laptop died and new laptops pretty much no longer come with CD/DVD drives anymore, so I needed an external USB one to use with my new laptop. It seems to work well, though I haven't been able to try out the "lightscribe" feature (one of the main reasons I chose this model) as I found that the lightscribe software doesn't support Windows 10. I appreciate that the cord is designed to fold into the bottom of the case, however, that makes the length a bit short. It's fine if you're going to use it sitting at a desk or table, but I do like to use it in my recliner, and it is too short to perch the writer on an arm rest, etc. or anywhere else it might sit flat. Might need to invest in a USB extension cord. One complaint is when you push the tray shut, two thirds of the time, the light flashes momentarily and the tray pops right back out. You have to shut it just right - not push too hard or too soft - to get it to not turn around and eject. I do seem to get a high number of duds, however, I suspect it is more the fault of the media I'm using (only buy media in the winter - IMHO too many sellers do not adequately protect the media from damage due to heat during shipment).

This burner arrived very quickly and worked beautifully for my project. Great price for a burner with Lightscribe capability.

The superb fabrication is well worth the price.

The HP company should not have stopped releasing them.I'm a fan of Lightscribe technology.

It didn’t work unless you purchase an additional upgrade for $59.00. That was mention in his auction. It also damaged my internal DVD drive in my HP computer.
