BAG-MATE HANDLE CARRIER (4-PACK) FOR GROCERY BAGS - QUALITY COMFORTABLE HANDLE AT THE BEST PRICE -MADE IN USA!

I've been looking for such an item since seeing a similar item that was created by an inventor on a PBS television program; however, I could not (and I still cannot) find that particular item anywhere. Then, one day while at my local kitchen supply store, I saw/purchased an orange/gray plastic grocery bag holder (see my review of that particular product) which looked as if it just might be 'the answer'; however, it was just too `flimsy' and did not work as I had hoped it would. So, my search continued for a similar, yet better, solution until I located this particular item - the `Bag-Mate' here on my Amazon.com. Since this item has no moving parts, it adds to the rigidity of its design which allows for the carrying of plastic grocery bags and/or eco-friendly (reusable) shopping bags containing heavier items such as canned food products, frozen food items, flour/sugar, or even a couple of bags containing a gallon of milk each. Heck, I'm sure that this particular product is capable of handling even more than what I can lift? In addition, this handle also keeps the bags closed and together whilst inside my vehicles during the road trip back home and has stopped the messy problem of items continually falling/rolling out of the bags and around inside my vehicles. I have finally found an item which works as designed and allows me to carry at least four bags of groceries (from one hand...even eight from both) from my driveway and up my stairway into my home; thus eliminating those additional tedious trips back and forth. This is a well-designed item...a more suitable/durable replacement (made from a solid material w/ no moving parts) to what I had previously tried. It's less expensive than that orange/gray inferior product, as well as one which is also ergonomically-designed and is much easier on the hands. It's definitely a much better design and is certainly a more comfortable solution...cheers.

Great idea/concept, does make it easier to carry bags - IF you remember to use them or to keep in the car :/

These were exactly what I was looking for, worth the buy. Yes, they are not the most comfortable to hold. But they beat the pain of carrying in all your bags at once, in your hands. They are sturdy and can hold up to 50 lbs.

If you, as I do, spend a lot of time carrying plastic grocery bags between the store and the car and the car and the house, then this is a must-have item. I purchased these handles almost two-years ago, and they're still going strong on almost daily use. You can carry an amazing amount of weight with them, as the thick handle makes it much easier to grip. Even if I'm carrying a light bag, I still use the handle because it prevents the plastic from cutting into my skin. I stick a couple of these in my coat or pants pocket when I get to the store, then quickly thread them through the bag handles when I go through the check-out line. This simple product has greatly eased the chore of going to the grocery store, and I commend this company for successfully bringing to market a product as innovative and helpful as this one.

I was crazy about these bag carriers for a long time; they allowed me to bring in all my bags from the car in one or two trips whereas in the past I would need to make many trips. That was until one day one of the handles suddenly snapped and several containers of cottage cheese and yogurt shattered, making a mess all over my groceries. What's more, the sharp edge (see photo) created a laceration in my finger.What is this worth if using it comes with a risk of injuring yourself?Note: The ad states "Holds more bags than you can lift" and "Holds over 70 lbs" (see screenshot) but this is not correct; my groceries were definitely less than 70 pounds, as confirmed with a scale. If you are going to buy this produce, make sure you NEVER attempt to carry more than 50 pounds at a time.

These carriers are a great way to help with multiple bags or heavy things with handles. I leave them in my car so that I am always prepared when I go to the grocery store. I have even put 2, 20 pound boxes of cat litter on each handle for a trek up 4 flights of stairs. The handles took the weight with no problem and saved me from multiple trips. They save your hands from having that bent finger achy problem after you carry too many bags at once.I looked at other handles and decided on these due to a couple reasons: - Individual finger grooves which adds to overall comfort - The easy and large opening to slip bags on and off quickly - The angle at which the handle is held that allows the bags to slide to the back and remain there while in use. Essentially creating a "V" shape that holds the bags in one place. - The sturdy design and material that allows for heavy lifting (which I tested in a real scenario) - The slim shape which allows for the handles to be stored in a seat back pocketI have been quite pleased with these handles and would definitely recommend them to others

Very awkward to hold and carry groceries. Tried to use this a product a few times and it was a bigger headache to just put the bags on the hooks than to carry the groceries in without this products assistance.

The good news is that part of the ergonomics of this bag handle work well. The curved hook on the end discourages bags from slipping off the bag handle when you set your bags down. The V-shaped lower-part keeps the center of mass centered under the carrying part, so that the load doesn't shift. The bad news is that the scalloped finger rests force the weight directly into the center of each finger, where the bone is, which tires the hand more quickly than if the carrier were completely flat, so that the weight could be distributed more evenly among the entire set of fingers. The now-defunct HandlR and HandR Jr. used this design, but alas, aren't available. I would recommend wrapping and taping some 1-in foam or 1/2-inch neoprene around the handle to increase grip comfort in the current model, and I'd encourage the mfr. to redesign the carrier portion to be flat and wrapped in neoprene, as some other bag carriers for sale on Amazon are.
