I have both. This notebook (the Markings) used to be a great deal; I payed $6 and some change for mine several months ago. However, now that the price has doubled (and is more expensive than the comparable Moleskine), there is only one reason one would buy the Markings journal over its Italian counterpart: capacity. While the Moleskine has only 192 pages, the Markings has 240. But, while it has more paper, Markings' paper quality control is a crapshoot. I use fountain pens, and this is an issue. My brown Markings journals perform very poorly with my pens (lots of skipping and flow issues), but my black one is better; not on par with Moleskine, but close. If you use pencils, then this probably won't be an issue for you. Overall, it's clear the degree of quality Moleskine holds itself to far surpasses Markings'. When I use my Markings, I feel like I'm using a sub-par product. When I use my Moleskine, I feel like I'm using a refined and purposeful product.Try this brand if you want, but I personally would rather pay less money for a Moleskine and get a much better chance at quality paper; even if there's less of it.

it is not. It is 1/4 inch lined paper. very good quality, I use it every day.

How many pages does it have?

There are 120 double-sided sheets in the notebook which equals 240 writing pages.

Can someone please tell me the dimensions of the sheets?

8x5. The binder is about 1/8" larger. There are no perforations.
