Bright
I replaced the incandescent bulbs in the outdoor garage lights with these bulbs. What a difference in brightness. The old bulbs gave off a yellowish light but these give off a bright white light. Much brighter than the old bulbs. One of the old bulbs burned out which prompted me to look into replacing all of them. Glad I did.

Just what I needed
This is the best light bulb I could have bought. The color is great, the size is perfect for the lamp. This is money well spent.

Amazing! Great efficiency, color and brightness !
Actually too bright for a night light. I have a 3 socket fixture on the ceiling, and with one bulb, it lights my room !I reordered the 2 watt version and it's better for me. Amazing! Now I have two 4 watt in place but not screwed in fully and one 2 watt on all the time. If I want more light, I screw the other two in fully. The bases are "candelabra" size ,about 0.4" so they don't fit a "typical lamp socket (Edison base) . These are " torpedo" shaped, which I prefer more than the "flame" pointy top. In addition to hardly using any electricity, they have the added bonus of generating very little heat compared to other bulbs. That helps my air conditioner bill slightly.

Silver Part Exposed
The silver base is exposed and it’s not the look I want. Plus these 40w are very bright.

Really nice bulbs for my chandelier
For such small bulbs, they are very bright while only drawing 4 watts each. The color is also good - not a bright white but not the yellow light you sometimes see. These are dimmable, but I do not currently have a dimmer switch on this fixture. I cannot comment on longevity since I only installed them, but most LED bulbs have a nice long life.
