This is NOT Agni Yoga
As a long-time student of Agni Yoga, I was very disappointed with this book. Although the book does include some quotes from the original Agni Yoga books, the core ideas of the book are the author's and not consistent with Agni Yoga. For one, the book is highly theistic, something that Agni Yoga is not. Even with original quotes of Agni Yoga books, the author seems to be presenting Raja Yoga as the core of Agni Yoga, which was never the intention of the original books. At one point, the author went so far as to say that some of the teachings in the original Agni Yoga books were not meant to be published, consisting of made-up things by Helena Roerich's Teacher to make her feel good at the time. Another of the author's claims is that the seemingly out-of-order way in which the original books were written point to the lack of spiritual maturity of Helena Roerich, when the books themselves affirm that their seemingly-random literary style is meant to develop the reader's ability to generate synthesis of the teachings. If the author doesn't even believe in Agni Yoga, the honorable thing to do is to not publish a book claiming to teach it. My advice is to stick to the originals. They are clear enough. All interpretations are invariably shaded by the prejudices of the author, which in this case are many and completely inconsistent with Agni Yoga.
