Groove Is King

I am all about Funk, and tripped over this album on Amazon (thank you Amazon!). These are very rich cuts with a very full sound. Make no mistake, this is not your old school funk, it is a blend of skills to entice your ear. "East Village" is all about the blues. "If Six was Eight" would make Dave Brubeck proud, and every percussionist needs to listen and enjoy. This album was made by musicians for musicians. I wonder if mainstream listeners will pick up on the technical skill of these artists. However, just listening will help young ears learn.Even though it is undoubtedly Funk, it takes risks and blends Blues, Techno, rock and a little disco. It has a jazz undertone and definitely takes risks. Lots of songs, all enjoyable, and goes well in the background with your favorite beverage. The horns are killer, and add the great counter rhythm. I personally like "Don't Funk with Me" and could dig on an extended version.So it really gets down to is it worth spending the cost of a good sandwich. I say this is food for your Funk soul and it needs to be fed.

Lots of groovy trance music. A joy for your ears, and your dancing feet. Joe B lays back a little in this one but a really good album.

Being a Bonamassa fan who loves his blues material and his work with Black Country Communion, I thought I'd give this CD a shot. And I'm glad I did! You can tell that all of the musicians had fun with this--the joy almost jumps from the speakers! If you like jazz funk, you don't want to pass this up.

This is an excellent album that really delivers. All of the musicians are at the top of their game and it shows. I don't normally listen to funk and previewed the album because of Joe Bonammassa and Tal Bergman and immediately preordered the CD/DVD pack. It turned out to be a great purchase. Two words of advice - Buyit!

Their first album was GREAT, this one is even BETTER. Heard the track ' Uber station ' and was hooked ( AGAIN), the album has a great mix of funk, rock and blues.... Buy it you'all LOVE IT

When I first listened, didn't really care for it. But let it play while working in my shop. Really started getting into it, now I love it!

I listen to this CD in my car as loud as my ears can take it. The beat is so funky,I went & bought Rock Candy Funk Party at the Iridium. Both awesome. Thanks guys for the good beats.''''''''

Klasse Musik Cd und sehr gute DVD

Rock Candy Funk Party are brilliant, This album is full of funky groove and, although these are virtuoso performances, there is no showboating, no extended solos it is like a musical Fast Show in its original conception, just punchlines, one after the other!!!

Un disco favoloso. Registrazione superba. Comprato sia in cd che in vinile con una resa sonora eccezionale soprattutto con il secondo supporto. Consigliatissimi anche gli altri 3 della band. C'è rock con molto funky e anche un po' di jazz. Da avere assolutamente.
