I'm 66 yrs old and I've had a really hard time finding a thermometer that meets my needs. I wanted a quick read AND I wanted to know when the reading was complete. I have hearing issues---a lot of women my age do---and I can't hear the beeps on any thermometer. I even bought a forehead/ear thermometer---which I HATE. I always have to look at a chart to see what an ear/forehead reading is compared to an oral temperature; what a nuisance.This thermometer lights up after the beeps (well, I'm told it is AFTER the beeps) to let me know it is done. I can actually see that with it in my mouth. It is PERFECT. Delivery was fast. Seller followed up and was very gracious. I think anyone would be well pleased with this product. I highly recommend it.

This is an honest review. I was NOT given this product for my opinion. I bought this thermometer legitimately, hoping it was good as the promotional reviews claimed it to be.I use this thermometer to chart my BBT (basal body temp) for fertility purposes. I've been using it for a little less than a month, but so far, it has done the trick. It provides enough accuracy to be able to see a temp shift.I really like the flexible tip. The backlight is great, especially since I take my temp first thing in the morning, before I turn on the light. Taking my temp doesn't wake my husband up. I can't speak to its accuracy, since I've never compared my temp with any other thermometer, but I don't care about accuracy as much as consistency, for what I use it for.The lowdown: You push the button. The light comes on. It briefly shows you the last temp, then the light goes off. I hold it under my tongue for about 20-25 seconds. It beeps 12 TIMES, then the light turns on and it displays the temp.The only downside to this thermometer is the beeping when it's finished. 12 times is excessive. Granted, the beeps aren't super loud (loud enough to clearly hear, but not loud enough to disrupt my husband), but 3 beeps would be plenty. Not sure why so many beeps.

**UPDATE**Their customer service contacted me immediately and gave me a choice of refund or replacement. I could be happier with the service and would not hesitate to order from this company again. Not every single product that comes off the line works exactly the way it should, but they fixed it. Thank you!!I use this to chart my temp every morning for NFP. I liked the way it worked, except for the excessive beeping at the end, but I got past that because it does get a quicker temp than others I've tried and it lights up and saves your last temp. However, I bought it in January, and it's now failed mid-April. Even for $17, it should last much, much longer. Not sure if it's just a battery issue, but I can't get the battery out anyway, I tried. I'm past eligibility for refund from Amazon, and hoping for either refund or replacement from Fam Fave, I keep reading about how great their customer service is!

I have a thermometer that I bought at CVS that I like a lot better. The FamFav reads higher than my other thermometer and it does not beep when a temperature has been reached.The CVS thermometer has lights GREEN for normal temp, YELLOW when there is a low grade fever, and RED when you have reached a high temperature. It also displays the temperature faster than the FamFav.4/10/2016 I have upgraded my review of this product after an explanation from customer service ( this is the BEST customer service EVER)they explained that the high piched beep is hard to hear in a older person like myself.

My body core temperature is just down right cold, I had this old digital thermometer and it was just worn out, so I bought this one, I keep a daily record of my temperature and with this new one, I can do it in the dark, so able to read it in the dark and it is fast with the reading, keeping my daily temperature is a breeze with this digital thermometer.

Received the first thermometer and reading was low, in the below 96 range. Contacted the seller and HE GETS 5 STARS. Immediately sentanother thermometer. This one is reading higher, ie. in the 97 range, but still lower than normal. Company excellent, but I feel that the thermometer reads low. Tested on 2 people, waiting more than 15 minutes after eating or drinking, sitting quietly, keeping mouth closed correctly.

We really like our Fam Fave digital thermometer. The lighted display is easy to read and the flexible silicone tip is both sturdy and comfortable. It comes with a nice plastic sheath for storing and the whole thing is no trouble to clean. Temperature is accurate we tested it. The Fam Fave has a trusted place in our household!

I'm very pleased with this product. I don't understand the negative reviews, since I received an email from Pure Products checking to make sure I was happy with their product. I think you could contact them if I had any questions.or problems and they would make it right. I love to support companies that provide excellent customer service.
