You can make your own, but this is fine Argentine dulce de leche at as low a price as you can find.

My local library is hosting a monthly Cookbook Book Club - we borrow that month's book, pick a recipe that we'd like to try, and then we bring our prepared item to a potluck meeting.This month's book was Nadiya Bakes, and it had recipes that called for items I'd never tried before.Like Dulce de Leche.For context, this was one of the ingredients in a 3 layer brownie:- a dark chocolate chip brownie as the base- dulce de leche w/ toasted nuts atop- and a cream cheese layer above that- then dusted w/ cocoa powderawesome!so, re the dulce de leche, it had a wonderful caramel flavor but it was less sweet than the caramel sauces I'm so used togreat as a supporting actor in this recipe. I could see using it with other deserts - w/ cheesecake or ice cream or . . . ?the whole concoction was rich and delicious without being poisonously sweet.I know this because my super picky (and very slim) husband ate a bit . . .& then went back for seconds.So I give thumbs up to the dulce de lecheand also to an intriguing cookbook

It would've been a 5 star review. As it was a great deal, but, one of the bottles arrived broken. The problem wasn't the overall packaging, but the fact that there wasn't much protection in between the bottles. They had the right idea, but just needed a little protection in between, at least, that's what it looked like to me. Oh, and opening packaging, I did nick my thumb on the glass, but nothing serious. Just be careful. With that said, it was very fast shipping, I was refunded for half the purchase, and the other bottle is still delicious. I love Dulce de Leche, but next time I'm going to order cookies to make my own alfajores.

I have yet to find anyone who packed items more carefully! The jars were so carefully surrounded with wrap that they could not have broken in transit. The outside of the box was taped so carefully and was thick so that the product could not be damaged. And to add to that, Argentinian sweets were added as a wonderful surprise. One could feel the loving care that was given in packing and th product was delicious. Muchas Gracias. I will order again soon!
