Age gap and HOT
In anticipation of the upcoming novella, I decided to go back and revisit the story that introduced me to the deliciously seductive Voyeur world and my Fiona Cole age gap obsession. Forbidden, steamy, smutty, and loaded with angst- it was great to catch up with Olivia and Kent. It was every bit as intoxicating and sexually charged as I remember. What I love most about this serious is how Fiona pairs the sultry and erotic with real character challenges and emotional intimacy. Liar is a bit more externalized than some of the others- with Olivia’s uncle being a barrier to this budding relationship, but it’s also about a girl coming into herself and figuring out how to pursue what she wants, stand on her own two feet. And turns out she finds it by falling for, and re-seducing, a much older man - all while he’s her uncle's bestie and her new boss. The chemistry and steam in the story are top notch- the mind blowing forbidden eroticism sparkles as much as I remembered. Hot damn Fiona Cole writes smut like no one else- the dirty talk. JAYSUS, melt my kindle. The sexy scenes are works of art- authentic and intoxicating and alluring. I might have blushed a little less than I used to- but this story still got me all hot and bothered. And i’m not even much into the more BDSM-esque dynamic, but here it is perfect.I also had my same frustrations with Olivia’s cowardice and immaturity- her selfishness. This actually makes me more excited about the novella- a hope that we get to see her more settled into the relationship, more giving. Kent is so endearing in this story- sure, he’s naughty, controlling and a bit haughty, but he’s also protective and mind blowingly patient and forgiving of Olivia’s limited growth. I do like Olivia- even if she frustrates me, and I get that she’s overwhelmed, she’s somehow bold but shy and vulnerable. But she hurts Kent in ways that I wanted her to acknowledge and OWN more- to be worthy of his devotion. And I’m excited to see how she’s changed and matured in the novella. All in all, this is a fav for steam and forbidden, and my favorite trope- age gap. The dynamic is YUMMy and this world is a fav.

Kent and Olivia are fire! Their chemistry is off the charts. Funny and witty banter with angst and anticipation. This book was sooo good.

childish h
Warning ⚠️ Potential SpoilersI liked the book until 65% because the h started acting so childish that made me want to stop reading. At the beginning I thought it was going to be the H having commitment issues due to living most of his life as a manwh0r3 but no it was the h who ended up acting super childish not wanting to commit and come out to everyone because of fear of disappointing her uncle who she adores and it’s best friends with the H and it’s fine I understand what I don’t get is that you supposedly in love with this man and you rather lose him than to just come out clean and maybe face the consequences and not lose someone who clearly loves you and would also be losing his best friend if he didn’t understand. From 65% all the way to almost 90% she acted this way until they decided to do “it” one last time but the uncle/BF caught them and I was so glad!!!! Because I was going to rate it 1 star because at this point I was just so annoyed. It ended on a HFN I guess it was “meh” to me overall.

Fiona is on fire again
It had been a long time since I read one of Fiona's books and I was more than happy to lose myself in one again. Liar is the story of Kent and Olivia. We first met Olivia in Voyeur, Book 1 of the series, when she was introduced as the main character's best friend and the niece of Daniel, the owner of the infamous club. Kent just so happens to be Daniel's longtime best friend. Olivia and Kent shared a night of passion that has turned into a years-long infatuation, which ultimately culminated in the lovely story that we have right here. There's a nice bit of push and pull between the characters, and the tension that builds by keeping their relationship secret is so hot, it'll burn you up. The author is fantastic at introducing new series characters into her stories without outshining the main plot, and I'm definitely looking forward to finally reading the rest of the stories in this series.

Liar
A wonderful age gap romance with all problems associated with it. There were times I wanted to shake Olivia for not manning up and telling Daniel. All is well that ends well.

Age Gap/ Secret Romance
Age gap, forbidden romance, secrets, steamy/ hot chemistry with incredible characters.Prequel:“Watch With Me” Kent and Olivia’s steamy fist meet at Voyeur and Kent finds out Olivia is the niece to his best friend and business partner.“Liar”Story begins 2 years after Kent and Olivia have spent an amazing and unforgettable night together. Neither have stopped thinking about each other and after some push and pull it doesn’t take them long before beginning a steamy relationship in secret. But their secret fun quickly turns into extremely strong feelings and much more than either one anticipated. Only a terrified Olivia may ruin everything with how fearful she is at disappointing her Uncle whose opinion means everything to her. Another great read in this amazing series. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Hugely disappointed
The sheer amount of eye rolling I did reading this should tell you exactly how I felt about Olivia and Kent. Honestly, I'd really been looking forward to this one as I love forbidden romances and throw in the age gap and I'm there! But this? This was just a bit of a mess.I'll start with Kent since I actually liked him as a character. He had solid growth and watching him go from a bit of a womaniser to a one man woman was probably the only part of this book I actually enjoyed.Olivia, on the other hand, was a TSTL, immature, childish heroine who I actually ended up flat out hating. Her motivations were stupid and her reasoning behind not wanting to tell her uncle she was seeing his best friend were out right idiotic and flimsy. She didn't want anyone seeing her as a 'stupid, dumb girl' so why on earth did she insist on acting like one for 95% of this book?!I actually reached a point where I had no idea what Kent saw in Olivia other than they had great sex. The development of their relationship wasn't there. I didn't understand their connection or how Kent could see her as this mature girl who was wise beyond her years. The girl didn't want to tell her uncle she was in love with his best friend because she was too scared of not having him believe in her any longer. I just...cannot with this book!I'm hugely disappointed as I was looking forward to this book, especially after reading their chemistry in the prequel. The over the top drama which was quite frankly stupid ruined it for me. I'm sorry to say this series took a huge nosedive for me. And now knowing that the last book is Daniel (who I love) and Hannah (who I do not like) that's a hard pass for me! Maybe I will risk it when it comes out but we'll see.

Great age-gap romance with plenty of steam! Loved seeing more from O&K.
Steamy and forbidden romance between Olivia and Kent. Fiona knows how to build the tension surrounding the forbidden/taboo aspect of their relationship and you're constantly wondering how and when they're going to get caught."Like what you see?" I taunted. He didn't respond, but his mouth tipped on one side, and that was enough for me.'The main story for Olivia and Kent which is packed full of chemistry and heat. The first time i read this, I'll admit, i was never fully in to it because of the age gap. But over the last few years, age-gap romances have definitely grown on me as I've started to appreciate when the man has that added experience that comes with the older age.'I expected him to wait for me to get out of the way, but instead, he stepped behind me and reached for the mouse.'Likewise, i love that whilst Olivia had her jealous moments, she didn't chase after Kent like a lot of other heroines would do. Instead she tried to remain professional and like Carina, constantly tried to remind herself of her worth. So it was fun to read this again, because I definitely enjoyed it more.Another thing I really loved was seeing more of Daniel, and his relationship with Olivia."You're a queen, and they should kiss your feet."It was sweet to see him act as more of a parent towards her. Even though he doesn't react to Kent so well when he first finds out about them, you know it's from a place of love for Olivia.

Series finally complete
If you like your romances forbidden with a hefty age age, a lot of sneaking around and a dose of angst, then Liar might be for you. This was a quick read and although I think Olvia showed her youth quite a lot with her behaviour, I enjoyed this a lot. The tension, the connection the dirty talk, all wins for me. I'm glad I persevered and finished this series. I recommend it if you like your romances hot and dark.

Brilliant!
Liar (Voyeur #5) is a sexy as sin, age gap read with a twist, and I loved it!Kent and Olivia have so much chemistry, but she’s his best friends niece and as much as he wants her, he knows he can’t go there, but go there he does...I highly recommend this brilliant series!

Hot and angsty
I've read several of Fiona's books now and enjoyed each one. She's a talented writer who always know how to balance emotional intensity with a strong storyline. In Liar we have a younger heroine matched with a older hero, and Fiona skilfully explores all the problems this situation brings.I shall definitely read more of this author's books.
