Cover Your Gray Fill In Powder - Medium Brown

Sadly this makeup is part of my daily routine because my grays start showing days after a salon visit, especially with a ponytail. Sections of hair are covered with one pass and stay all day, after styling and in the heat. Takes a few years off my look to see brown instead of gray. I also have swirly hair growth at both upper sides of my head and my scalp shows more in those areas, so this powder makes my hair color look more uniform. I don't think you can tell that it's applied to my hair, even at the base near my temples on each side. I stepped down one shade as I got highlights for the summer and I'm happy with this lighter version too.

The powder application is very smooth. I can compare it to the Joan Rivers Beauty brand which I have used for several years, but when the brunette shade of JR became almost impossible to find, I decided to give Fill-in a try. I was concerned because it was so much cheaper than the JR brand, I thought it couldn't come close in comparison. I was pleasantly surprised that the application was much smoother. It is a few shades lighter than my medium brown hair and the JR brand but it doesn't stand out. It is easier to apply than the Joan Rivers powder, however, I haven't used it very long, only 2 months, and the brush it comes with is already fraying. Easy enough to use a better brush for the cost of the product.

This color blends perfectly with my light to medium brown hair. Easy to brush on and stays on until I wash out.

Works well..... I don’t use every day....but it makes your white scalp not as noticeably. So it does help hide thinness in the hair. Even in medium blonde hair ...it’s more about the scalp not being so white showing through. I personally would not pack on every day. I think it would create a problem by caking up on your scalp....and most likely not needed to be done everyday.

It isn't as dark as the other one I've used but I like it around my hairline because it looks more natural on my gray hair on front of my ears. I'm not sure about the brush. I think it needs a sharper, more pointed tip so it is easy to part the hair so I use the other brush. I like the fact that it is shorter to put in my purse tho.

This is okay if you're in a pinch. I found I have to be careful not to put my eyeglasses on my head, because they pick up the brown powder, then when I put my glasses on, I get the powder on my face. If they made this stuff so that it doesn't come off so easily, it would be great because I do like the color which blends in well with my graying brown-auburnish hair.

Excellent waterproof product! With my resistant grey hair I just refuse to color my hair more than once a month. This product with the excellent included brush does a terrific job. It is slightly drying and will annoy your hairstylist as she has to work around it a little but I plan to NEVER be without this product. xxoocf
