Is it possible to list the overall dimensions of the unit.. more specifically the total height of the unit from the base to the top of the vice?

4 7/8" total height, Base is 8" long by 4" wide not including screw crank, Upper jaw clamp is 6" long by 3 1/2 " wide not including screw crank.

Do the cranks have measurement dials?

Yes, 0, 10, 20. Presumably thousands of a inch, but I have not measured it nor used them for that, there is about 5-6 slop going in and out, so I'm not sure I'd rely on them for anything too critical.

It will work fine. You just have to lower the working table

There are 3 mounting options. Each side has 3 slots with one on the end. The smallest mounting option would be 4" X 4" (Center-to-center) with approximately a 1/4" of adjustment. 4" X 6" is the largest mounting spread again with about 1/4" adjustment. The slots can handle a 3/8" bolt, but suggest using 5/16". Overall, a nice unit for simple work.
