2014 album from the controversial Canadian band led by Joel Gibb. Songwriter Gibb works like a visual artist: he constructs sophisticated soundscapes and collages, whose fidelity initially stays hidden behind the aesthetics of harmonious yet brooding pop music. "Gay Goth Scene," for example, was originally thought up as a joke, an ironic finger exercise. Now it sounds like a requiem. It was written while Gibb was still living with his mother in Toronto, more than 10 years ago, where he used to arrange gay Goth scene shows.

Not their best
This one isn't my favorite Hidden Cameras record. Nothing really lept out at me as all that catchy or memorable. Maybe it will grow on me in time, but I can say it didn't grab me offhand.

A disappointment, sadly...
Not a single stand-out track or enough memorable hooks to keep my interest. I was looking forward to this album, as the prior releases from The Hidden Cameras were all generally strong. This one is a disappointment, sadly.

More greatness
I have never been disappointed by a Hidden Cameras release and this is fabulous. The most under-rated band in the world.
