Surprisingly good for the money and it’s a good size as well. Adjusting the blade is a bit of a faff to keep even but doable. Blade was sharp enough to plane the edges of my oak veneer doors without any bother at all and it feels a good size and weight to do the job.

Ordered late yesterday, arrived 30mins ago, safe strong packaging & box which have already recycled, cursory look at instructions but clearly obvious how to adjust to depth of plane I needed and 5 mins later door needed item for closes properly, sandpapered and hoovered up ready to paint. Feels fantastic quality and blade very sharp, I'm a DIYer doubt will ever use enough to blunt the plane Final point truly if not using a plane day in day out, the quality at the cost of this unit is fully recommended!

I nearly didnt buy this plane based on the reviews. If you have good woodworking experience and remember the old methods before power planers, this product is good quality for the price. The weight and sturdiness is good. The sole does not require sanding as suggested by a reviewer . The sole could be polished if you think it slides better but that would be because the blade is not set right. The adjustment is standard and all planes are tapped with a hammer for the finest adjustment. Factory blades are fine out the box but for a razor sharp edge you should invest in grit stones upto 20000 and know how to use them for blades chisels etc. This plane is very well priced and does precisely what it is designed to do in the hands of a woodworker. More expensive planes only include brass fittings and blade lateral angle adjustment lever. Further more you need many different planes for different jobs. This is a bench plane not a long sole jointer or a small block plane. Do not be put off by price if you know how to use it .It will last a lifetime.

Moi qui suis menuisier, j'estime qu'il s'agit d'un très bon matériel. De construction robuste et précise, c'est un outil tout à fait honorable. Un rabot, ça se règle et ça s'affute régulièrement à la pierre à huile pour l'entretient du morfil ou à la meule si trop abimé. C'est normal ... Ici la prise en main est excellente et les aciers de bonne qualité et ceci à un prix très concurrentiel. Rien à dire.
