Diamondback HD 8x28 Binoculars

Exactly what I was looking for in lightweight binoculars. Great clarity and brightness. My hand falls naturally on the super smooth focus. Easy one handed use.

Excellent build quality and great optics especially at this price. Focus dial has the perfect resistance for one handed use; Obtaining focus is precise and quick. The perfect companion on hikes. Every bit as effective as the bigger Diamondback HDs. I would say less color fringing than the larger objective lens models which is always a positive. Much smaller than the 10x42 shown. One of my favorite binos in my arsenal. The body feels good in hand being very slim. FOV is wide making it easier to scan and locate subjects. Image brightness is surprisingly above average given the objective lens is only 28mm.Cons: A little more finicky finding view due to the smaller exit pupil. Once you get use to it, a non issue.Easy recommendation. Great build quality and very good optical performance.

Clarity is excellent and resolution is very high in the middle 25% of the field, comparable to high end8 x 42 binoculars, dropping off toward the edge as all binoculars do. Controls work smoothly with a comfortable amount of force needed to focus. Size is just right for being easy to use without getting in the way carrying. Image is bright in normal daylight but I expect it will not perform as well as those having a larger exit pupil in darker conditions The field of view is wide but not super wide. Does not seem confining. Eye-relief is comfortable for use with glasses and provides a view of the entire field at once. Excellent binoculars period, but especially considering the size, price and unconditional warranty.

Vortex optics 9/10, eye relief is bad. Clarity is awesome, as expected in low light not so great because it it only a 28mm lens. That should be expected. Amazon prime nowadays is horrible, I got tired of waiting almost two weeks so I bought another pair off eBay and got them in three days! Tried to cancel the Amazon order but it wouldn’t let me, even though they had never shipped yet! Returned them after I got them.

Very light and compact. Quality of image is surprising. Very comparable to my Swarovski’s and Nikons

I bought these binoculars not knowing how I'd like the images of a small 28mm objective lens. I've been schooled. They are excellent. Very light weight. Comes with covers for objective lens and eye lens. Easy to hold and carry. Small enough for a sweatshirt pocket. Thats how I used it. I compared my 7x50 Celestron to these and I was very impressed. Great image. A little darker then the 50mm size but that is to be expected. They definitely did not disappoint me and in comparison to the very good Celestron that I mentioned, they were well worth it. Not very expensive. I'm keeping them.

Excellentes petites jumelles. Robustes, fluides, nettes. Vraiment top. Tiennent la comparaison en plein jour avec des Zwaro : étonnant !

I love these. They are light, relatively rugged and crystal clear. I've used them on trips to Scotland and for some of the local bird life and the clarity and ease of use are excellent. They come in a useful case. The only irritant are lens caps that can get in the way a bit. They might be physically too small for some people (my father couldn't use them as they weren't wide enough) but that's the only potential downside that I can think of.

Ich habe mir das Fernglas hauptsächlich für das Bogenschießen gekauft um die Pfeile auf >50 Meter richtig zu sehen. Funktioniert alles super.Das Bild ist gestochen scharf. Man die Schärfe auch mit einer Hand einstellen, da das Rädchen super einfach zu bewegen ist, im Gegensatz zu anderen Ferngläser.Da ich beim 10x Zoom bedenken hatte, dass das Sichtfeld zu klein ist, wenn ich in die Landschaft blicke, habe ich mich für die 8fach Vergrößerung entschieden, was ich auch nicht bereue. Das Sichtfeld ist super weit.Einziges Manko ist, dass das 28er Glas in der Dämmerung nicht so gut funktioniert, da zu wenig Licht im Fernglas ankommt. Für mich ist dies aber nicht schlimm, da das Fernglas von mir in der Dämmerung nicht großartig genutzt wird.Ansonsten top Teil, was natürlich auch seinen Preis hat.

Cercavo un binocolo compatto e leggero da utilizzare quando vado in montagna e da avere sempre a portata di mano (per quei momenti in cui se devi estrarre il binocolo da zaino e custodia ti sei già perso l’animale!). Mi sono indirizzato sulla Nikon sia perché è un marchio che mi dà fiducia sia perché c’erano dei modelli in sconto black friday. La Vortex invece non la conoscevo ma l’ho trovata suggerita in un forum specializzato. Volevo spendere tra i 100€ e i 150€. Tutti e 3 sono binocoli con prismi a tetto, impermeabili e anti appannamento.Nikon Sportstar EX 10x25Immagino che utilizzato senza comparazione possa anche dare soddisfazioni, ma comparato con gli altri 2 è stato una delusione: l’ingrandimento 10x risulta inutile perchè l’immagine non è definita nei dettagli, nè vicini nè lontani. La capacità d’ingrandimento 10x non fa grande differenza rispetto ai 2 8x e la nitidezza e luminosità superiore degli 8x fa vedere meglio nonostante l’ingrandimento minore. Altre cose che non ho apprezzato è una sensazione come di nebbiolina/grigiore e le fortissime aberrazioni cromatiche su neve e corteccia di betulla illuminate da sole molto forte.L’ho restituito senza rimpianti, per me non vale il costo, neanche scontato (115€).Nikon Sportstar EX 8x25Rispetto al fratello maggiore è decisamente migliore: non ha i difetti del 10x (le aberrazioni cromatiche sono le uniche che restano nelle stesse condizioni di test ma sono minime e non danno fastidio), la vista risulta più nitida e luminosa, davvero piacevole da utilizzare! Ripiegato sta in una tasca del giaccone e i 300g di peso sono buoni, maneggevole e compatto. Non apprezzo però la mancanza di copertura per le lenti e la bassa qualità e scarsità degli accessori (la cinghietta è risibile e non c’è nemmeno la tracolla per la custodia): il plus delle sue dimensioni per me è proprio poterlo portare anche in tasca per avercelo sempre a disposizione con rapidità, ma senza coprilenti le lenti si potrebbero danneggiare...Per la mancanza dei coprilente non l’avrei tenuto se avesse dovuto essere il mio unico binocolo, ma è davvero un buon prodotto e 89€ un buon prezzo, quindi ho deciso di tenerlo come riserva. Come altri confermo che non riesco a registrare la garanzia di 10 anni Nital, verificherò con loro.Vortex Diamondback 8x28Rispetto ai Nikon la superiorità è ineccepibile: c’è una tale sensazione di chiarezza e nitidezza che per l’occhio è proprio un piacere usarlo! Lo trovo anche più immersivo. Sembra sia fatto per essere tenuto leggermente scostato dagli occhi e lo trovo comodo. Delle leggerissime aberrazioni cromatiche testandolo su neve e sole molto forte, ma non danno fastidio e sono minime.La Vortex fa prodotti soprattutto per chi caccia e quindi questo è decisamente un binocolo più da battaglia e durevole rispetto ai Nikon (rivestimento robusto e con molto grip, chassis in magnesio, trattamento lenti antigraffio/olio ecc). Questo si paga però con 96g in più di peso in più oltre che con una minor compattezza. Per accessori e qualità siamo proprio su un altro pianeta: la cinghia per il collo è lunga, comoda e imbottita e la custodia ha la tracolla (oltre al passante da cintura che hanno anche i Nikon), per non parlare dei coprioculari che possono essere agganciati e dei coprilente fissati ai tubi.L’ho pagato 149€ e lo trovo un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Per me è un binocolo con una qualità ottica fantastica, superiore alla fascia di prezzo.
