Wow, what an amazing pot!
I bought this to make oatmeal for dorm life in college, but even after I've got my own apartment with a stove, I'm still using it! It boils water incredibly fast. I wouldn't recommend it for trying to prepare meals, though I bet it could get the job done.Pros: cheap, fast at boiling water, and durableCons: The inside ring is hard to clean unless you buy a brush, you can get a scotch brite on for like $3 at target. The inside metal ring can also start to tarnish after 2-3 months, some steal wool works great to clean it off.

Simple, quick, nifty cooker
My husband and I don't have an actual kitchen in our portion of the house, and didn't want to go up to the big kitchen all the time. This little kettle boils water in under five minutes and so far has made potatoes, tortellini and a few other things. While the temperature controls could be better, it will do off, simmer, and boil, and really, that's all I expected or need. It cleans up easily. I recommend stirring during cooking.

May need a cleaning brush.
Works great! Gets hot fast! Cleaning is a different story if you have it too hot for noodles.

Great little pot!
When you just want to heat up some soup or cup of tea or coffee, this little pot is great! I make soup, tea in mine all the time. The wonderful thing about this is you are not tied to the kitchen for it's use. As long as you have electricity you are in business in any environment.

Love it!
After ordering other supposed hot pots, this one delivered exactly what I was looking for. I have a very short lunchtime and the ability to use a microwave is limited because of so many people eating lunch at the same time. I can quickly make soup or heat up casserole. I highly recommend it!

Great for camping and home.
This is my favorite tool for making tea and French press coffee. Boils quicker than a microwave. Even heated Progresso Soup and other canned items still in the opened can with the label removed in a hot water bath(I didn't feel like washing soup out of it). Just have to make sure you turn it all the way off.

For heating water only
Purchased this to heat milk for my hot chocolate. I like my milk hot and thought this product would produce the result I was looking for. The results were maddening. The pot heated very fast and I took pains to NOT put it on the boil immediately. I started at the halfway mark and waited for the milk (ice cold from the frig) to get hot. It took a few minutes BUT the bottom of the pot was left with burned milk residue. For the next few days I tried various other settings but still ended up with burnt residue on the bottom, which took forever to remove via baking soda, vinegar and hot water and plenty of scrubbing. Bummer. It heats water fast, but that's about it. Also, washing it can be a trial because the cord is not detachable. You need to keep the cord away from the sink so that it does not get wet. Very disappointed.

Excellent Hotpot
What's not to like? It's extremely easy to use. It features a variable heat control which gives you options beyond boiling things. Good size, easy to clean, and a strainer lid too. Recommended for dorms, camping, anytime you don't want to take out pots and use the stove. Also helpful in doing meals for 1.
