Man what can I say about this. I was on Youtube looking for Ms Dynamite and I came across this group and a collaberation she did with the song "Fire". I looked for more songs from them and saw the video for I Need Air, then Perfect Stranger.... That was it. I came to Amazon and looked them up and heard additional samples of their CD and the rest is history. Some tunes are futuristically beautiful and some make you squint your face up like you smelled something fuuuunky. They have nice beats and you can tell that they are an innovative group. I am happy that I purchased this CD. I love music from the UK and groups like this are why.

Very Surprised
I purchased Magnetic Man for the track titled "I Need Air". While that still is my favorite track on the album, the opening track grabs your attention. The entire album is very easy to listen too, and I can't think of a track I skip over.

Electrifying underground
These tunes remind me of the good old 90s. Beats are catchy and electrifying. Make sure you listen with a pair of quality headphones.

Magnetic!
Magnetic Man are a trio from the UK composed of Artwork, Benga and Skream. They represent the Dubstep scene, electro Dub with Hip Hop and Trance trimmings. Their eponymous debut comprises 14 tracks, half of which are instrumentals like the delicate "Flying Into Tokyo" (with soothing Oriental chimes), the aptly titled "Anthemic" with throbbing bass, "Ping Pong" (with bouncy beats simulating the song title and xylophone chimes), the dark atmospheric "Box of Ghosts" (with throbbing bass and swirling synths), and the jittery "Karma Crazy" with orchestral flourishes. These are gems and if the album had songs only like these, it would still be a winner. The other half feature vocals, mainly from guests like Ms Dynamite providing Dub-style rapping on "Fire" (which wouldn't sound out of place on an M.I.A album), Angela Hunte on the trancey "I Need Air", Katy B on the tribal "Perfect Stranger" as well as the dark "Crossover", Sam Frank on the skittery "Boiling Water" (one of the few times auto-tune is ever justified), and John Legend's creamy soul on the heartfelt and melancholic shuffle "Getting Nowhere". Legend made a similarly interesting appearance last year on "Heartbreaker" from Dance act MSTRKRFT's "Fist of God" CD.An album that grows on you the more you listen to it, towering in ambition.

I've listed to this album several times on Spotify and thought it was good enough to buy. Looking forward to more music from Magnetic Man.
