Zanzibar Nursery Wall Hanging Set

I was given these wall hangings as a present. I love them and they make the room look great. We also were presented with the problem of how to hang them. There is what seems to be a dowel pocket in the back, but that seemed too complicated to deal with. Therefore, my husband and I attached a safty pin to the back of each square in the center at the top. My husband then used a finish nail in the wall, and used the safty pin to hang over the nail. The pin is low enough so you do not see it or the nail the square is hanging on. It was easy to do, and the wall hangings look great! I thought there would be a problem with getting them to be straight, but they are light enough to manipulate and stay where they are placed. I hope this helps others with this problem. I still wonder though, why on earth the company didn't foresee this problem in the first place?

This item was very cute. The different textures (just like the bedding set) are a lot of fun. I hung 2 on the wall above my sons changing table and he loves to look at them. My only complaint is the ribbon loops they've sewn on to hang them. Mine were not sewn into the middle of the square and so they originally hung uneven. You can easily use a nail or other type of homemade hook though.

I chose the 'Zanzibar' theme for my nursery and could only locate these wall hangings in America (I live in Scotland). As I had my heart set on them I had them shipped to a friend in New York, who posted them on to me. It was absolutely worth it. Like the rest of the 'Zanzibar' range these wall hangings are super cute and high quality. They had a small ribbon attached to hang them onto the wall, but we chose to put them up with velcro, so that they could easily be removed allowing baby to see them up close.

We LOVE these adorable wall hangings. However, there is the problem of how on earth to hang them! We've decided to use a clear fishing wire through the rod panel and then hang off either a painted nail to blend w/the wall, or maybe a decorative hook. They're lightweight enough to be held up with a thumbtack(w/the wire). We may use a ribbon if we're able to get it through the tiny rod opening. Except for the poorly thought out hanging issue..why isn't there just a loop?!?.....these are wonderful decorations. Lots of different textures, etc.

It's great to have a wall hanging to match with a bedding theme! These are super cute and feature all the animals that coordinate with the Zanzibar bedding and can be hung in many different configurations to best suite your nursery. However, hanging them becomes a question. There is no type of hanging hook what-so-ever. On closer inspection I noticed a very thin pocket (like a curtain rod pocket) which I assume is meant to assist in hanging but isn't very useful unless you want to hang them on a thin rod in a straight line. It would be very difficult to get a ribbon through the thin pocket to create your own "hanging hook" and you don't want to drive a nail right through the fabric. I will end up stiching on a coordinating fabric or ribbon in order to hang them but it really should be easier than this ! :)

These wall hangings are lovely. The different textures are very cool. Maybe mine were different than everyone elses, but they came with little ribbon loops on the back, and i don't get why there's an issue hanging them. They're very very cute, and look adorable in the room.

the zanzibar collection is bright and cheerful . . . animal images are unusually cute. i mounted the wall hangings with velcro so they can be taken off the wall. the baby enjoys touching them and seeing them close up!

I absolutely love these wall hangings - they are a great addition to the nursery! They match perfectly with the other Zanzibar products. I haven't had any problems hanging them - they came with loops on the back that worked wonderfully.
