I purchased the bulb as an entry into home automation without spending much. You get what you pay for. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised at how well these work after setup. The brightness is fine, but doesnt seem 450lm bright. I think that may be because the frosted lense covers. The color modes on the bulbs are not bright at all, but I dont consider that a fault. To me color lights are more of an accent or mood lighting. The bulbs are sturdy feeling. Very nice quality. The white base is aluminum. The weight feels nice, not cheap feeling at all.Setup was not too bad, although the flashing during pairing mode is rather annoying. It would be nice to see the lights breath instead of flash...These will not work for pairing on a 5ghz wifi network. I could not even get them to work on the 2.4ghz=5ghz combined smart connect mode. I found out the phone still connects via 5ghz band when using the smart connect mode. The bulbs will not see it app at all.Protip! Once the bulbs are connected to yer wifi 2.4ghz network. You do not need to be connected to yer wifi to continue to control them. The 2.4ghz wifi connection seemed to only be required for setup pairing. I can control the bulbs just fine even on the cell networkThe Smart Life app worked well enough. A moderate learning curve. But it is poorly supported. I was looking to add extra functionality via the IFTTT applet system, Smart Life is not compatible. The smart life peeps disabled the ability to integrate it into IFTTT. BUT thankfully these bulbs can use different apps to work as well. So, I found out this app called "Brilliant Smart." It can be downloaded on both IOS and Android. It basically is just Smart Life, but still integrates with IFTTT. But I found that despite being a tiny bit laggy, it works perfectly well and allows for a little bit finer control of the bulbs. Although not a whole lot more. The music mode worked on this app at least.The colors are nice, but not super bright. I did not buy the bulbs for the color modes. I only got them for the ambient whites. The whites are bright enough for a small room. Three in a ceiling fan have a good enough light for a 12x15 room.All in all. I would buy more of these for the simplicity. But if you want more control of the lighting features and a more robust lighting ecosystem. Spend more for the higher end bulbs. Bulbs that require a bridge may have a better compatibility as well.

The media could not be loaded.  So last week I bought this smart lights for my ceiling fan. This is the first smart lights ever I bought, surprisingly they were easy to install because it came with a manual and smart app. The app itself gives you instructions on how to add lights to your home wifi.Light's brightness is good. With using the app you can schedule on/off timing. You can also schedule scene modes, brightness, and different colors. I have connected my lights in Alexa echo and group them so they can follow my command together. Overall they are great. If I want to suggest one thing then I say brightness is good but it can be brigther.

The lights do what they are supposed to do but it was soooooo hard to get them setup on wireless plus one of them flickered. They require 2.4 g WiFi ONLY so if you have Cox Panorama WiFi like we do it won’t let separate 2.4 CCID from 5g network. What a pain in the butt. By comparison the SYLVANIA bulbs I bought from Amazon were a breeze to set up.

Pain to set up. Constantly gives low signal alert even though it's 10 feet away from the Wifi router. They work but I would not purchase more.

Easy install and setup with Alexa. Great options for routine setting and color changes.

Requires programming. Too difficult!

They didnt even connect no matter how many times unscrew the bulb and/or turn on and off the power switch, and one bulb already pop after just one day 😟😥 i waste a lot of time and money on this product and it jist isn't for me.

These are awful, I’ve tried to connect these to make them smart and programmable and they will not connect not matter what I’ve tried. I have other smart bulbs in my home that connected very easily. These are being returned as defective
