Ordered this for my camera to mount on my tripod and it worked great.

Perfect replacement

Once you get past the fact that the Targus TG5060TR is cheap, light and disposable (which is what it's supposed to be: the kind of tripod you won't mind leaving at some security checkpoint when they won't let it past or to use as an emergency splint) it's biggest problem is that tiny wing screw on the adapter. It can take several minutes to get it off one camera and on to another. The second biggest problem is losing the adapter. By buying a second one of these, I can keep one adapter permanently on my camera and one always attached to my phone clamp. The tripod's quick release feature is now actually useable. As far as needing a shim or something to use with the TG5060TR, I don't seem to need one, it fits perfectly. YMMV.

I wanted to have a back up for my Amazon tripod as I've misplaced it once and would rather not waste time looking for it immediately. This one has metal for the spring part where the original is a plastic piece. Though, the movement on the original one is more fluid, while this one tends to stick so I have to fidget with it a bit while attaching a stand. I also had to return the first one for a replacement as the metal part was loose in the package upon arrival and I could not get it back into the spring properly. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

Used it for my Bosch laser level on an Amazon basics tripod. Worked perfectly!

This is an actual proper fit replacement! Works perfect and is exact match to the one I have had since new. I use on an electronic predator call on a tripod for extra height to keep off the ground. Thank you will definitely buy more when I need them!
